Censor board has double standards: Makers of Kaminey
Now it is not at all good news for the team of Kaminey and that too just a week before they will release their movie all over India. The censor board has asked them to chop off certain scenes else, they will go ahead and give the movie an adult certificate. Now the news has come as a huge blow as they were expecting nothing of this sort. They are still pretty much confident that there is nothing in the movie that is so violent that it will require anybody to turn their faces away from the screen.
Now Vishal Bhardwaj is upset about this situation. While directing he shot scenes in a such a way that give you the feeling that something bad is going to happen round the corner but they never showed any violence of that sorts. Now there are all the reasons for the makers of the movie to feel that the censor board might be adopting double standards.
A strong support to their movie comes from Ghajini that was given a universal certificate and they feel that the movie had much more violence and chaos as compared to Kaminey. In addition, there is no foul language has been used in the movie as was in Vishal's earlier movie Omkara. The use of expletives has been kept at a bare minimum almost zero.
Now they not only have to deal with this situation but they also need to market their product properly. The euphoria surrounding Love Aaj Kal will end by the time Kaminey hits the theatre but still the sales will surely get affected if the movies gets an adult certificate since a large fan base of Shahid Kapur consists of the younger generation.
