Shahrukh Khan has been stopped to be checked by U.S authorities for questioning at the Newark Airport. Many articles have been spilling out with an outcry over what an atrocity this is, that the "King" of Bollywood has been stopped. Some of the statements coming out are of such:

The problem with these statements are that these people are living in their own little self centered elitist world. Just for kicks, for the comment by Aziz Mirza, Brad pitt has 24 Million search results, while Shahrukh only has 2 million, so I don't think that statement was made in the right state of mind. I live in America, and no one I know, knows who Shahrukh Khan is, if they saw him on the street they wouldn't give him a second look. Just cause your famous in one country, does not mean the whole world cares about, especially some security guard. The fact that someone could believe that, a security guard, in America is out to get Shahrukh khan is not just out right absurd but is borderline retarded, people really need to get out of their shell. Secondly, and more importantly, what America is doing is for their security, and I am saying this as a practicing 5 time praying Muslim. It is often said that, not all Muslims are terrorist, but most terrorist, are Muslims. Watch the news, and this is only further proven, so America is just acting upon statistics. If America decides to pull aside for questioning, not a kidnapping, or putting him in prison, what is wrong with that? Say if on that flight, a hardcore Taliban style Muslim came on board, but America was not allowed to pull him aside just because of his appearence, and then Shahrukh Khan was aboard too, say if that plane had crashed, what would happen at that point? All the news networks would blame the U.S security system, and say that they don't do anything. The only actor agreeing with this point, whether out of hate or general logic i dont know, is Salman Khan. He stated, "The detention was for security purpose. And it is not a big deal. I think it is a good thing,"

To end off, I have nothing against Shahrukh Khan, and their are also no statements where he himself is saying that he is a "king" and deserved better, he just stated he was shocked and that is expected from anyone. But the over-all response from the Industry is honestly pathetic and shows the bubble they live in.
