I too believe the appearances are not same as alter ego. In that case they could have simply shown them as alter egos! It's quite prevalent in movies! Many a times the heroes/heroines even have to tackle not only one but two alter egos - good and bad! So we have enough dosage on that! That is why I think the creatives tried to be "creative"!! 😃

I'm sure the guy playing Krishna would not like this topic as his role might be axed!! 😃

It is true that Arjun was Krishna's brother-in-law but I don't feel that was the reason why Krishna preferred Arjun - it was his preference for Arjun that made Krishna want to facilitate the marriage of Arjun and Subhadra and make him his brother-in-law in the first place ( when Krishna asked Subhadra to run away with Arjun so that Balram could not further the proposal of Subhadra to Duryodhan - he was so smart he also asked Subhadra to navigate the chariot herself so that people could not cast aspersion on Arjun's character).

Krishna was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who unlike Ram, immediately exhibited divine powers from his birth - he foresaw the future and knew that Arjun was a pivotal character in the fight of good over evil. Krishna also knew that it would be the son of Arjun and Subhadra - Abhimanyu who would be able to take on the chakravhuh and prevent imprisonment of Yudhishtira. Arjun's own complete and utter devotion to Krishna clearly merited Krishna's trust and love.

jasw > Good point but Arjun was considered a great warrior and Krishna had lot of affection towards him which favored the marriage of Arjun-Shubhadra. I agree movies do show Gods/Goddess but thats only once to end the evil unless the movie is based on the God/Goddess story. In CB, Radhika hasnt done anything exceptional to necessitate Krishna to appear and guide her. They have tried to draw an analogy with Meerabai whose devotion to Lord Krishna was paramount and remains inimitable. Still Lord Krishna never gave her darshan. And yeah the actor enacting the role wld defi not like this! lol
