Does Singhaldweep refer to current day Sri Lanka? So would that mean that Queen Padmini was from Sri Lanka??

Singhal Dweep refers to somewhere South of India, Padmini was tamil or basically from down south India!

From whatever I've read, everytime I've come across Singhal Dweep, it's always had Sri Lanka citied next to it in brackets.
