Hello everyone...I'm here with today's written update! Another amazing Premeer flashback! This is only my second update, and both episodes have Premeer flashbacks... 😆
Part 1
Episode starts with Geet promising Heer that she will never meet Prem again, nor speak to him. Both are teary-eyed. Geet asks Heer if she still loves "him." Heer turns away, and says No. Geet smiles, and says that Heer took so long to say "No" that even in her "No" there is a Yes. She tells her that "he" is your love, you can remove him from your life, but not your heart. She says she is really angry at Heer's husband, because of whom, Heer is in this state. Geet says that from today onwards, I won't get involved in someones married life, especially if he has a daughter. Because those type of men love their children the most, not their wives. Both smile. Heer says okay, forget all of this. I need to go to the office, or your mother will fire me from my job. She says she has a "pending" job. Geet says she will accompany her to the marriage bureau. She wipes Heer's tears and promises that from now on, she will not be any "Prem's Deewani." The girls hug.
Prem drives up to the school gates and gets out of the car. He smiles at the children running past, and asks a boy if he's seen Chahat. The boy shakes his head. Prem tries to walk into the school, but is stopped by the security guard. The guard asks him who he has come to meet. Prem says Chahat, Chahat Juneja. The guard says sorry, but Chahat's mother has given us strict instructions not to allow anyone other than her, to meet Chahat. Prem says no, that's for other people, I'm her relative. He tries to walk in but the security guard blocks him and says that Heer specifically said there are no other relatives other than her, please go. Actually, exactly WHAT relationship do you have with Chahat? Please go, or we'll have to complain to Chahat's mother. Prem turns away, devastated.
He thinks to himself. Why have you given me such a big punishment for one mistake Heer? Why did you seperate me from my rights as a father? Today, I cant meet my daughter, cant speak to my daughter....cant even tell people what mine and Chahat's relationship is. You've made me so helpless Heer. If only I could hear Chahat's voice.
Suddenly, Prem hears Chahat screaming out, "I will play! I will play!" 😆 He turns and momentary joy fills his expression. He yells out "Chahat!" He walks briskly to see where her voice was coming from. He is walking...and sees a few children playing inside the school. There is a fence seperating him and the children. He looks, but Chahat is not there. He is about to turn away when he sees Chahat running towards the children. She is yelling out "I will play too!" and is running really fast, super excited! 😆 The children are throwing a ball to eachother. Chahat runs between each child, following the ball, saying "Let me play" but no one gives her the ball. Prem is watching her. She looks soooo adorable. Still no one gives her the ball or lets her play. The ball is thrown to a corner of the fence, Chahat and two of the children run to get it. Chahat falls down. Prem calls out her name and runs to her. He reaches to her, over the fence. She looks up at him. Prem looks down at her, and the guard's warning echoes in his head. "Go from here, or we'll have to complain to Chahat's mother." Chahat slowly gets up and looks at Prem. Prem grips the edge of the fence. Both stare at each other. Chahat slowly backs away, walking backwards whilst still keeping her eyes locked on her father's face. She turns, and walks along the fence, Prem walks as well. They are both walking in the same direction, parallel to each other. They continue to look at eachother. They both look heartbroken. 😭 Finally, Chahat stops looking at Prem, but Prem continues to watch her. She goes back to the children and looks at him again. The children throw her the ball, and she starts to play.
Prem thinks to himself....which father is as unfortunate as me, who, upon his daughter falling down, couldnt even reach out and help her? Who cant call his daughter, beti? Who cant hear her call him Papa? She's infront of my very eyes. So close, yet so far. Chahat turns and looks at Prem, apologetically. Like she wants to go to him, but cant. She looks so sad. Poor Prem looks heartbroken. 😭
Part 2
Geet is in a room in the marriage bureau, thinking about Prem. She gets a flashback of yesterday's scene where she is talking to him. She is restless, and is pacing about the room, shifting from chair to chair. Jasmeet aunty enters the room. She is talking to Gayatri (😡) saying, yes, yes I understand. If I dont understand, who will? Some photos fall out of the folder that she is carrying. Geet starts picking them up. Gayatri tells Jasmeet that she wants a girl in Prem's life. She cant see Prem is this state. (Its because of you, evil woman! 😡) She says, I've sent some good photographs of Prem. Jasmeet aunty says any girl who sees Prem's photo will not be able to refuse.(Tell us something we dont know 😳) Jasmeet aunty tells her not to worry. Geet picks up the photos and puts them on the desk. Jasmeet aunty says to Gayatri, dont worry...after all it's PREM JUNEJA's shaadi. Geet hears this and gets happy. She sees Prem's photo amongst the ones she put on the desk. She picks it up and asks her mother. Jasmeet aunty says it's Prem Juneja, my very good friend Gayatri Juneja's son. He's just as good a person as he is a business-man. 6 years ago they left and went to Canada, now they are back. They live here, in Delhi. The boy is good in every way, just one problem - he's a divorcee. (umm..refresh my memory, WHEN did Premeer get divorced you silly woman! Gayatri is such a jhooti 😡)
Jasmeet aunty continues. She says his mother wants to get him married again. Geet asks, what Prem wants and Jasmeet aunty says that he too, wants to get married. Geet gets happy. The phone rings and Jasmeet answers it, she starts talking on there. Geet walks away from the desk looking at Prem's photo. She thinks, that means Heer is wrong, and I was right. I can make my dream reality and love this stranger. Now I can keep the promise I made to Heer, while keeping the promise I made to myself. There is no one in Prem's life right now, meaning I wont be hurting anyone. Heer will be so happy when she hears this, I'll tell her right now. She runs into Heer's cabin but Heer isnt there. An employee (an assistant?) enters the cabin and Geet asks him where Heer is, he says Heer left ages ago. Geet wonders why she left without saying anything. She picks up a picture of Chahat-Heer from Heer's desk and talks to it 😆 She says she can now dream about Prem and think about him as much as she wants. His parents are desperate to get him married, my mother even knows him, and maybe you do too. She puts the picture down and looks at Prem's picture again. She thinks that now Prem wants to get married, I will be the only girl in his life. 😆 😆(Silly, silly Geet...you are right about one thing, there will be only ONE girl in Prem's life. And that is Heer. 😳 Actually, 2...Chahat as well! 😛)
She hears thunder outside and goes to the window. Its raining heavily. Geet gets worried and wonders where Heer is.
Part 3
Heer is standing in the rain, clutching her folder and getting drenched. She is waiting for a bus/taxi. A car pulls up and the window comes down. Heer starts to ask for a lift, when she sees it is PREM in the car. They stare at eachother, until Heer says a disgruntled "Sorry" and begins to walk away. Prem gets out of the car and runs to catch up with her. "Heer wait...Heer it is raining, I'll..." She interrupts him and says she'll manage. There is a taxi stand nearby. Prem says there is no taxi available, which is why you wanted a lift right? Maybe you've forgotten but I havent....getting wet in the rain makes you unwell. She looks at him, and he looks back. He says you consider me a stranger right? I'm a stranger to Chahat right? Then fine, as a stranger atleast let me drop you home. He walks to his car, opens the door for her and waits. Heer remains rooted in one spot for a while, then walks to the car and gets in. He does something, like puts her saree pallu in the car properly before closing the door. He walks to the other side of the car and gets in. They both adjust their soaking wet hair 😆 Heer flicks her hair and some water droplets hit Prem. He touches the droplets of rain on his face and looks at Heer. FLASHBACK. Heer sneezing in the rain after they have just got married, during Gaurav Sharma days, and Prem saying "bheego, aur bheego baarish mein..." Back to present. Prem looks at Heer and tells her to dry her hair, or she'll get a cold. He gets a towel from the back of the car and starts to say something, but she says No. She thinks he was about to dry her with the towel. She takes the towel and dries herself with it. She looks at the towel and it has the initials PH written on it. Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil title, slow version plays in the background.
Heer's FLASHBACK.
Heer is sitting on the bed, stitching PH on to a towel. Prem jumps up behind her and says "BOO!" 😆Heer jumps, startled and pricks her finger with the needle. Prem says sorry, and sucks the blood from Heer's finger 😳 He says sorry again. Heer says its okay, I know you didnt do it deliberately. Prem sees the towel and asks why she's stitching PH on it. Heer says its so that whenever you use these things, you'll feel me with you and think about me. Prem teasingly says that dont I think about you enough? 😆 And as for feeling you with me..well...he pulls her to himself quickly and they hug. 😆😳
Back to Present. Prem starts the car and they drive off. While driving Heer is looking dazed and lost in some thought. Prem looks at her and frowns, slightly, wondering what she is thinking. They arrive at Heer's house, outside the gates. Heer looks at Prem, and Prem says go on...say thank you. Like you say to strangers. But before he can complete his sentence he sneezes 😆 Heer looks at him, concerned and tells him to come inside. Flashback to the scene where Heer lets Prem into her house after he was waiting all night outside in the rain, Post leap. Prem says it will be better if this stranger goes back. If I come inside, then what will Chahat think? Heer gets out of the car and walks up to her house. Prem gets out of the car and watches her. He thinks that the last time you invited me in, you gave me back my old shirt and opened up old memories and old wounds. If I come inside again today, then who knows what other excuse will come forward for breaking our hearts? When it becomes difficult for a story to reach its destination, then it is better to leave it at this beautiful relationship. Stranger. (I'm sorry, I didnt really understand this last dialogue)
Okay that's it for the update. Rating? I would say 6/10.
a) There was too much emphasis on Geet. 🥱
b) The Premeer flashback, whilst cute, was far too short and cut off abruptly. They could have shown the hug for longer! 😳
and c) Harshad Chopra's voice was dubbed. At some points I thought it was him dubbing his own voice, but at other points it didnt sound like him at all. 😕
Let me know what you think of the update, tried to make it as detailed as possible with most of the dialogues, for those of you who do not understand hindi. 😊
