Ok looks like plot is building up to this not Krishna's b-day as big reveal (I hope)>
So all my friends out there, can someone explain the significance of this puja? What is this ritual? Why do Dev and Rad have to do this together? I assume at this time Ashram inmates will know truth...as Rad will have to step in. What do you think?
Credit goes to Anu here who mentioned Bhoomi puja from the first time mutt was mentioned.

In hindu ritual, before u build anything breaking the ground, u do bhoomi puja. First u apologize for breaking the mother earth and then take blessing from the god before u build anything. The blessings are for the happening of good things in the building there. Generally husband and wife do this puja together (I guess as my parents did that together when they built our house).

Bhoomi Puja is a ceremony performed to inaugurate a new site for the construction of a home or building. This ceremony is conducted in strict conformance to Vaastu Shastra, the ancient Indian science of structures and architecture.
According to Hindu beliefs, by performing this 'puja' the right energy and natural elements surrounding the site can be propitiated. Usually the time chosen is in accordance to the 'Vaastu Muhurtam,' which is the time when the 'Vaastu Purusha' (energy surrounding the site) is believed to be in full strength.

For the Bhoomi Puja a ritualistic 64-part diagram denoting the 'Vaastu Purusha' is drawn in the north-eastern part of the construction site, using seeds and colored powders. Each part in this diagram denotes a deity. Chants and offerings are made to each deity. A pit is dug nearby and the first brick or stone is laid in it. An effigy of 'Vaastu Purusha' is made from straw and burnt to ward off evil spirits.

Bhoomi Puja is usually carried out in the morning, which is considered most auspicious for this ceremony.

Bhoomi Pooja is first step when we start building something. For building a structure, the plot is digged first and Bhoomi Pooja is performed to start the digging process. Sometimes, as part of Pooja, some symbolic things are burried under the dirt so that plot stays good. (Same funda as different gem stones affect different things). Also it's said that a woman can complete a Pooja all by herself but for a married man to perform a Pooja and for it to be called complete it's necessary for the wife to accompany him. That is why Dev will need RajPurohitain to be there for the Pooja.
One time Sita was waiting for Ram to do the Pooja but he was getting late so Sita performed the Pooja and it was considered complete. When Ram came back and asked Sita told him that Pooja was done without him. When he had doubts Tulasi confirmed that she witnessed. Ram ji got upset with Tulasi and cursed her that if she in not planted properly in a pot then even a dog can spoil you. (In one way, it was a blessing) since then Tulasi is always planted with care in a designated place.

like Babu said, it is also to humbly request worms and insects that live in that piece of land to leave and go elsewhere as we will have to "break ground". And yes, there is a homa (havan) that needs to be performed which needs a Yajmaan that requires a married couple. Of course, however disfunctional, Vivek and Mrini can also do the pooja, dev and rads r not needed unless the truth about their marriage comes out this time around and they actually sit together as a married couple instead of pretending to be one (from dev's end).

Wow thank you. I am so grateful to you guys for explanation. So Bhoomi puja should be relatively soon. I wonder if Vish will come for it? But we know Rads will have to do it. I wonder if whole Vrind crowd and RP clan will come?
