Ram and Sita in a new show?
Gurmeet Chaudhary and Debina Bonnerjee, who played Ram and Sita in Ramayan, will soon be seen in a new show in which they play a couple again.
"It is still being planned. We have been offered a show, but we haven't signed it as yet. When we do, we will let you know about it." The show is supposed to be about children and both the actors, who are in the lead roles, will be taking care of the kids.
For the moment, Debina and Gurmeet are just enjoying their spare time. "We have been attending classes together, action classes, dance classes, and we even go to the gym together. We are looking for really unique roles," says Debina.
As soon as Ramayan finished, Debina home to Kolkata. "I was ready with my bags on the last day of shooting. I spent a few days with my family, and then went to Jagannath Puri, which is one of my favourite places. I wanted to show Gurmeet the place. We walked to the temple; it was the time of Jatra so it was very crowded. I didn't expect people to recognise us there, but when we came back in a cycle rickshaw a group of girls recognised us and started were running behind us." The couple also did a photo shoot for a magazine over there.
Gurmeet too wanted to take Debina to Kashmir. "He spent his schooldays there and always talks about how pretty Srinagar is, and what it's like when it snows. In fact, a few of us were ready to go there, but told us to wait as it is quite risky to travel there right now. But we will go one day."
Debina says that the couple is not interested in doing another mythological show, but is definitely interested in movies. The new show will be finalised in a couple of weeks, until when Debina hopes to enjoy some time off.
