Introductory PartHeer absolutely hated the situation she was stuck in. Why was fate playing such a cruel game with her? Why was this man back in her life after 8 goddamn years?! She absolutely hated this man. He had ruined her life, now she was forced to work with him, that too for six months. How was she going to do it? Questions ran through her mind. Her temper was flaring at the moment, just looking at him brought back all that painful memories. All the pain he had caused in her life. How could she forget what he did?
Sitting in the meeting room with Heer, was definitely not what Prem was expecting. Heer Jhunejha, just her name provoked his male instincts. She was one hell of a woman, he did not mean it in a good way. To this day, he was trying to figure out how he had married her. why? Why had he made such a rash decison? All she had ever done was blame him for everything. Thats all what all women were good for, blaming the man for everything. He could not believe, how fate had crossed their paths after eight years, that too for six months.
For one thing Heer noticed, Prem had changed. He was looking good, a little too good for her peace of mind. His muscular body was well shaped, there was no hiding it beneath that suit. His body was a path that Heer knew very well . Her hands had roamed every inch of that body. His dark eyes even more compelling than before. His features were sharper, more precise. His jaw was lean with that damn pride that never disappeared. God, those lips were full and sensual as ever. Snap out of it, Heer! She kept telling her self, that this man has taken away the joy of her life, a part of her that could never be replaced. He was a horrbile person, not the greek god he resembled.
Prem had to admit that Heer was looking good, eight years had definitely done justice to her body. When they were married she was more of a girl, but now she looked like an incredibly sexy woman. Her body looked full and lush, with curves in all the right places. He also noticed that she was wearing her silky hair long parted in the middle. The strands all over the place, he remeberd running his fingers through them and also feeling her response to that touch and to every touch of his. God, her face had always gotten to him. She had a kind of beauty that had appealed to his senses right from the start. Her big dark eyes, her defined cheeks, her full pink lips. The lips he had tasted, he also knew the color they turned after they were swollen from his kisses.
Prem and Heer had both gotten married in the States, after they turned eighteen. They had been high school sweethearts, they were the couple everyone talked of, wanted to be. They had both adored each other and the one and only thing they had in common was that they both wanted to take the Business path for their career. Their marriage had only lasted three years. Three horrible years. They hadn't thought how hard a marriage would be at eighteen, when they both had big dreams and goals. After they got married, they realized how little they knew of each other and what they had for each other was not actually love but adoration, attraction and lust that lasted them through three years. They had both gotten odd jobs to make through their living and college. With so much to accomplish, they barely had any time for each other. The distances made them both suspicious of each other, which kept leading to misunderstandings and frustrations. Within six months their marriage had begun to rock, and it kept sinking like a ship that could not be saved. After a year Heer got pregnant, but it ended in a miscarriage. During their three years of marriage, their bedroom life was downright perfect. Heer got pregnant quite a few times during the three years but they all ended up in miscarriages. Instead of supporting each other through the tough times, they ignored each other and left each other alone….. Neither tried to mend the distances. It took one drastic event, that turned both their lives upside down, which caused them to hate each other more than enemies would….
"Heer..." Prem managed to speak finally after the meeting had ended. Everyone had left eh meeting room. Heer had dropped some paper work, he had bent down to help her. Prem looked at her, his eyes piercing through her, the way they always did. Even his look managed to send a shiver down her spine. A feeling that she had forgotten in eight years.
Heer looked back at him, her gaze fixated at him the way his was. She didn't dare look away from him. They both stood up and Heer waited for Prem to speak. Prem swallowed before he maged to choke out his words
" I think that we should put the past---" Prem mangaed to speak when Heer interrupted him.
" Listen, this is a proffesional environemnt. There is absolutely no need for us to discuss our crummy past---" Heer was biting out her words at him
"As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted. I wanted to say the same thing. That we are working togetehr now, we should not let out personal life interfere with out proffesional life. We can put the past behind us and work together." Prem got the chance to finish his words.
"We can work together as proffesionals but as for me putting the past behind. I don't think I'll ever forget what you did with my son and daughter Prem Jhunejha."
