I know that its not the right forum to post this topic but I just want to share with you this news.

India's first sea-link from Bandra to Worli has been opened. The construction took about 10 years with about 3000 workers and costed about 16.5 arab Rupees!!!

Congratulations to India!!

Check out the fab pics from BBC. Thank you BBC for posting these pics!!

😕 Congratulations !!! to my fellow engineers.... 😛
Yes the sea link marked a place in Indian Engineering history.... but the time and cost taken for such 5.6 km (app) link project....is much much more than the exact project..... 😲
Hindustan Construction made its place in the arena of Great Indian engineering dream but lacked its efficiency due to low-skilled cheap labour.........😕
The project took so many years to complete... where our neighbour country China Makes 6 much bigger sea links in less than that time...
As a result of same old Government authority dependency made it late... the project that was estimated 400 Crore in terms of Rupees took 1600 😭 and i assure you this project lacks Creativity in terms of its appearance........... as if koi zor zabardasti isko banana tha to bana diya , kaisa banya it does not matter to the Govt.
fir bhi kuch na hone se thoda hona behtar hai 😊.

Wonderful Pictures 😃 I remember seeing it on news.

I hope the team of engineers create more such wonders and leave the Sedhu Samudra Plan to be forgotten forever.
