TOM & KATIE: WEDDING UPDATE
It was a rainy, cold morning in New York City on jan 5, but even the frigid temperature couldn't dampen Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' sunny dispositions! The couple smiled broadly as they greeted fans and signed autographs outside The Carlyle Hotel. Why the unbridled joy? "We got married last night — you missed it!" Tom eagerly offered to a reporter before fessing up that he was just teasing her.
OK, so they didn't tie the knot that night — Tom went on to tell the reporter that they haven't set a firm date yet — but sources tell Star that the big event could happen very soon.
"Katie's mom and dad want her to marry before the baby is born," says a source close to the actress, and that time frame only leaves a few months for the expectant mom. And though Katie has always dreamed of having a big traditional wedding, "She's so in love with Tom at this point that she doesn't care where they marry. She just wants to be Mrs. Tom Cruise," says another source.
