Personally I don't think this is that great...it started off okay but it went all downhill from there and I don't really know why--if anyone else can find out where it got all screwed up I'm more than happy to hear it! š³ Thanks again, and hope you all enjoy it! š

Where was he? She'd been waiting for him to come home since the last hour and got tired of pressing his number on the phone anymore; she kept getting his voice mail and the last thing she wanted to talk to was a machine. She wanted her husband and she wanted him NOW.
A knock softly sounded at her door and she turned to see the face of her younger sister.
"Kya hain Meher?" She snapped and then sighed. "I'm sorry,"
"Koi baat nahin di. Mujhe pata hain ke aap unka intezaar kar rahi hain. Lekin main wohi kehna aayi hoon ke woh thodi der mein aate hi hoge,"
"Tumne usse baat ki?" She asked frantically. "Kaise?"
"Maine cell phone pe kiya tha," Meher shrugged as she left not wanting to face her sister's wrath.
He was taking his saali's calls but not his own wife's? Let him come, she thought. Aisi kya baat hogi ke woh mere phone call nahin lete?
She walked towards her balcony and could feel the light drops of rain on her face. She slowly shut the window and sat silently at the window, watching the drops trail down to the base of the window in random squiggles looking just the way her heart was feeling right now. Alone and desperate for him; the one person who could always make her feel better. Lately though it seemed he never had enough time to spend with her and would spend the remaining time either at the office or conversing with everyone else. She was his wife for god sakes and she had something important to tell him today. Slowly almost subconsciously her hand trailed down to her stomach and a tiny smile erupted on her face. She had just got the call from the doctor earlier that day and ever since then she'd been continuously calling his number for to no avail. Suddenly she saw the bright headlights of a car in the darkness through the window and almost ran down the stairs wanting to be the first person to greet him.
Her hair wisped past her along with her dupatta as she moved down the stairs nearly knocking down Harman in the process. "Arre bhabhi!"
"Baad mein Harman!" She called over her shoulder as she made her way into the front lobby. "Prem!" she said a bit too loudly.
"Ji Mrs. Juneja. Prem saab nahi aaye. Unhone kaha ke woh aaj raat bahot der se aayenge." Ramu informed her.
"Deāder se?" Heer repeated nearly out of breath.
"Ji," Ramu turned around and walked back outside.
What was going on? Why couldn't he at least call me? She all but stomped up the stairs as she made her way through the hallway, stopping by the door to the terrace which was surprisingly open.
"Tannu! Vikas? Tum dono upar gaye ho?" She called up the narrow staircase.
"Ji mami," a squeaky voice replied back.
She shook her head and looked around for anyone else but sighed as she didn't see anyone there and so she made her way up the stairs onto the dark terrace. "Tannu! Kahan ho? Dekho iss waqt hide and seek nahin khelna hain hume,"
Getting no response back from the kids worried her. "Tannu! Vikas!" She looked around frantically hoping to see a glimpse of one of the kids but all she saw was a dark figure standing at the opposite end of the terrace. "Kaun hai wahan?" The figure did not answer leaving her a little frightened. "Dekho main chilaungi," She could swear she saw a glint of white as the figure smiled at her. Why was it so dark up here? She had told Prem to install lamps around but did he ever listen to her anymore?
She stopped as she backed up into the wall but the figure continued walking towards her. Why didn't she just leaveāwhat was it that was holding her here? She twirled the end of her dupatta in her right hand before looking back and seeing that the dark figure was gone. Where did he go? What should I do now? She started walking back towards the door back to the house and then decided to get everyone else to help her look for the kids when suddenly a hand grabbed her left hand and spinned her causing her to hit someone's chest. HARD.
"Aah!!" she managed to let out before the person covered her mouth. "Main hoon," Her tensed shoulders slumped as she heard his voice. His hand left her mouth then and turned her around, watching her in the soft moonlight.
"Prem!" She hit his chest softly. "Kya kar rahe the tum? Aise bhi koi karta hain kya?"
Prem nodded as he slowly tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. "Pyar karnewala,"
She rolled her eyes in response and turned around crossing her arms. "Aacha? Aur phone? Woh nahi kar sakhte?"
She sighed as she felt his hands slide around her waist and rest his chin on her shoulder. "Agar main karta to yeh sab chup chup ke milne ka mazaa khojata,"
She shook her head against him. "Mujhe tumhe kuch kehna hain," She whispered.
"Mujhe pata hain," he lightly placed a kiss on her cheek.
A crease formed in her forehead. "Kya pata hain?"
"Jo tum mujhe kehnewali ho," His hands pressed a bit more against her stomach. "Iske baare mein,"
She whipped around completely surprised. "Tuātumhe kaise pata?"
He smiled then, amused by her angry reaction. "Tumhari doctor ne pehle tumhe try kit hiālekin tumhare phone switched off aaraha thaāto usne mujhe phone kar ke batadiya,"
Heer made a face.
"Kya hua jaan?" Prem smiled putting his index finger under her chin and making her look up at him.
"Mujhe tumhe batana tha," She pouted.
He loved when she made faces like this. It made him feel more in love with her not that he even thought that was possible. He still couldn't believe his destiny. There were so many times when he thought he was going to lose herāfirstly when he found out she was marrying Manmeet and he had to marry Ashlesha that had been the first thing they overcame together, then came her drowning and memory loss natak, he had managed to get her back that second time. Then the biggest hit of them all; the bomb blast in Delhi, he hadn't thought he'd ever be able to come back to her that time but her love was strong enough for both of them and that brought him back. Even now when she was going to leaveāhe had gotten on the train after her and somehow persuaded her to come back to their house. At that time she had been adamant not to listen but he promised her it wasn't for him. It was for her sister and now that all the misunderstandings were goneāthey both learned to trust each other again; this time for sure.
"Chalo koi baat nahinātumhe pata hain ke aaj bura din main kya kar raha tha?" He asked her happily.
She glared at him. "Mere phone calls avoid karne ke ilava tum kuch aur bhi kar rahe the?"
He sighed. This was not going to be easy. "Chalo," he brought her down into the house and took her down the hallway and stopped in front of a closed door.
"Mujhe yahaan kyun laye?" She shrugged and then her eyes got wide. "Prem! Main bilkul bhool gayi! Upar Tannu aur Vikas akele hain,"
He slowly shook his head. "Nahi hain,"
"Haan," She nodded. "Maine unki awaz suni thi,"
"yeh awaz?" he asked her in the same squeaky tone.
She relaxed and then glared at him some more. "Ab chalo jaldi karoāmujhe bahot sara kam hain,"
He slowly came closer to her and smiled. "Raat ko ek baje, tumhe kaunsa kam hain?"
She couldn't help but blush and then she pushed him away. "Batao na,"
He unlocked the door and covered her eyes before walking her inside the room and then told her to open her eyes. As she let her eyes open she was overcome with emotion. The entire room was decorated and filled with tons of baby items. A cradle was in one corner, a changing table in the other, and the wallpaper was covered with teddy bears in neutral colors.
"Humara bacha hoga ya bachiāissi kamre mein rahega," Prem smiled as he hugged his glowing wife from behind.
"Premāthank you,"
"Kisliye?" He backed away and asked.
"Mera saath hamesha rehne ke liye. Tumhe nahi pata aaj pura din mujhpe kya beeti," She sighed. "Jab main tumhari awaz nahi sunti na? To mujhe ajeeb si bechani hoti hain," Heer confessed.
"Tumhe ab darne ki koi zarooraat nahin hain. Main hamesha tumhare saath rahonga." He enclosed her in his arms. "Hamesha,"
Hearing the words from his mouth made her realize one thingāthat despite all the trials their love had gone through, there was one reason they succeeded it all and were together. Their love. Nothing could ever come between them. EVER.
I don't really wanna say anything about it...*hides face* I rather hear what you all think instead! š³
Love you loads,
Meeraš³
