Why the Main Focus on Simple Girl only?

Hey guys iwas just thinking today when ever they start a new serial on any channel and if there is a simple girl there (as main lead) but other girls are also there as a lead but everytime the main focus on Simple girls like avni is in love ne miladi jodi and Gunjan in Miley jab hum tum.. ridz in Dmg... etc... so wht do u think why is like that?... do share ur thoughts!

coz most of us are plane janes,however we might try...these serials bring our ultimate fantasies out..lol😆..the target audience has to identify with the protagonists,for the trps to remain high😉

i dnt think thts true in case of mjht...we have 2 leads...nupz n gunji...gunji's an introvert n nupz is an extrovert...audience loves both!!

agree with you. this trend has been going on like for ages.but remember that in 'remix' none of the leads were the so-called ghar ki seedhi saadhi betiyan.i guess that was the only exception amongst the lot

introvert simple girls are the main focus in many serials...They can be made to cry easily, they can have many hang ups about many things like in the case if gunjan...singing and public speaking..
So such character has lot of growth potential as the story moves ahead..while the babes have either negative or short roles with little or no growth..hence the focus on simple girls

Also every girl in India or elsewhere watching will some way or other relate coz something happening to the simple girl on screen would have happened to each one of us sometime or the other

I dont agree wit u...

the simple girl .. as well as the bubbly girl .. both are the leads .. and both of them hav equal focus .. atleast in case of MJHT .. dunno abt the other serails u mentioned !!

i was talking about Sheena as the other character not Nupur as Nupur has no comparision ...She has all the shades and even her love story is going great...
What i meant was that being a simple girl, Gunjan has lots of potential to grow and thus simple girl have a bigger limelight as we all identify with such a character
