Valmiki guarantees that Sita is sinless. Everybody looks at Ram to see what decision he takes.
Ram folds his hands to Valmiki.
Ram - Rishivar, for Ram your words are God's words and truth. I know that Luv and Kush are my sons. My soul knows that the moment this Ram suspects his Sita will be the last moment of Ram's life.
Valmiki - Then what is the reason Raghunandan that even today devi Sita is standing before you like this?
Ram - Rajdharm. You know rishivar that a king's life is devoted to his people. So long even one Ayodhyavasi suspects Sita, their king cannot accept Sita.
Valmiki - If this is so, then Sita is ready to give the test of her chastity.
Kaushalya - Never. Sita will not give any test. This is the decision of Ayodhya's rajmata Kaushalya.
Kaikeyi - Enough. Our Sita has suffered a lot. We will not let her suffer any more. Ram, Sita is Ayodhya's Maharani and Sita will have to accept Sita.
Sumitra - Ram, when the husband does not suspect his wife, then how do the people come in between?
Kaushalya - This test is an insult to Sita's purity and I will not let that happen.
SIta - Ma, please do not be angry. If this is what my swami wants, then I am ready to take the oath. I will take the oath not because I have to prove my chastity and my devotion towards my husband but because I want my sons to get their lost right. I do not want that once again people question my sons' identity. I do not want that like me, they also face insults. I know that even if this matter is suberted today, then one day again a mother's honour will be put at stake.

Jivan ke sangharsh se Vaidehi gayi haar
Bhagn hriday lekar kare Bhagvati kare karun pukar
Visham paristhiti Sita ko is mod pe laayi hai
Bhumi ki beti sharan Bhumi se maangne aayi hai
Vidhna nahi samaaj hi iska uttardayi hai
Bhumi ki beti sharan Bhumi se maangne aayi hai

Sita - I, the daughter of Janak, take this oath in the presence of all the Ayodhyavasis that if, by heart, words and action, I have worshipped only my swami Raghunandan Sri Ram, then O mother Earth, give me room in your lap. O mother Earth, if I never thought of anybody other than my swami, then let me enter you this very moment, mother. If, every moment, all the eight pahars, I have thought of Raghunandan Sri Ram, then O mother Earth, take me in your protection. I am your daughter. I grew up playing in your lap. By your blessings, I got Raghunandan Sri Ram as my swami. Mother, your daughter is calling you. Listen to your daughter.
There are tides in the ocean. There is thunder. The Earth splits and mother Earth appears seated on a throne.
Sita - Ma, take me in your arms. Your daughter is tired giving one test after another. I do not have any more strength left. Take me in your aanchal.
Earth goddess spreads her arms affectionately. Sita moves towards her.
Everybody is crying. The rajmatas, Sita's sisters, her devars, Hanuman, Luv and Kush are in tears.Ramji also is finding it difficult to hold his tears now.
LK - Do not go, Ma. Do not leave us. Please stop. We cannot live without you. Please do not go. We do not want any right. We do not want anything.
Sita - You will have to take your right.
LK - Take us with you. We do not want to stay here.
Sita - Do not let my sacrifice go to waste. Your father and Ayodhya need your love. I am leaving you with your father. Obey your father. Remember that a father's place is supreme and it is the biggest duty of sons to serve him. (Vashishth and Vishwamitra nod in approval.) Promise me that you will not blame anybody for this sacrifice of mine. Promise me.
Luv and Kush nod.
Ayodhyavasis - Forgive us, Maharani. Do not punish us all for the sin of one.
(Idiots, why cry now?😡)
Sita - I am not punishing anybody. Think that this is my fate. (To Ram)Swami, I pray only this much to God that whenever I am born on Earth, I get you as my husband and I am never rejected by you.
Ram - No Sita, you cannot reject me like this and go.
Sita - I am not rejecting anybody. I have always accepted everybody -you, mothers, Laxman, Bharat, Shatrughan bhaiya, everybody else. But now it is the time for me to go. Give me your blessings.

Sita sits on the throne besides mother Earth. The throne goes down and the ground again becomes level. Ram stands and screams Sita's name.

Thanks for the update Avi.

Why is Sita is tired of giving tests but still does not hold anyone responsible for it? Was she giving tests to and for herself?

And what was the necessity to take vows from Luv Kush that they too would think the same way as to not blame anyone for it. Everyone knew who was to be blamed...

So now does everyone justify themselves that it was all fate and no one is to be blamed?

thanks avinash, i just saw the episode and i have loads and loads to complain

they made just a copy paste act of older ramayan, not that it was bad, but since they had time, they could have explained the reactions a little better and not used the same dialogues. and they ommited the inspiring dialogue that sita and motehr earth had delivered , which was worh copying, about how there is no place for woman in this earth, there is no value of woman

as far as i remember, it

was chandraketu who pointed out that sita said, if i did wrong,then let the ground break down before me or else let mother earth herlself appear if i Havent committed any sin, so i also thought this time around they will show this only, but they stuck to the old part.

debina was good but still i felt she was better yesterday, today she may be did a little copying of deepika and i didnt like d finishing

the biggest discrepancy i noted was costume of urmilla mandavi and shrutakirti. as far as i remember, they were wearing a different set of costumes yesterday, and since todays is a d continuation of same day i wonder why the sagars didnt pay any attension to it.

i honestly would rate todays episode as 2.5 or 3 out of 5. lets see what what happens tomorrow

gosh - although I knew what was coming, the end of today made me so angry ...

women have to bear such a burden in this world - especially indian women ... it's too much!

Thanks for the update Avinash!👏

As far as the episode goes, I give my heart-felt congratulations to Debina for excellently portraying the role of Devi Sita.👏 Oh my God, I had tears in my eyes when I saw the way in which she cried out to Mother Earth and the inspiring speech she gave to the assembly.😭 Yes, 90% of the speech was taken from the previous serial, but it was what made it so good. The speech the Sagars gave to Sita (both old and new) is so inspiring and heart-rending, that I don't think there needs to be any changes to it. However, I do wish that Mother Earth said something. She was completely mute.😒 And while poor Sita was crying her heart out, she said nothing to comfort her...and to me she looked younger than Sita herself.😕

I am sorry if I offend anyone with my next sentence, but I felt that because of Debina only this episode was good. Or else there was something lacking in it. I did not understand why Gurmeet showed barely any emotion while Debina showed tons.😕 He seemed a bit shocked, but that's it. He seemed too calm for my liking.

The Rajmatas were good, but the kids were the best after Debina. It was extremely sad to see them cry out to their mother.😭 I wish Sita gave them a hug and a kiss or two before leaving, but I guess that would have increased the attachment. Poor Luv Kush. Like Ruplali pointed out in another post, Luv Kush had the best parents in the world but never got both parents' love together.😭😭😭 I can hardly imagine how they felt at the moment of their mother's departure.

I want to thank the Sagars for retaining the magic of Ramayana which was lost after the Uttar Kand began.👏⭐️👏 They are ending on a good note. I just hope they continue this in the next two (or was is three?) episodes.😊

In the original story, Sita never gave any bhashans. She just took the oath and left, w/o looking at either Rama or her kids. It was that simple. None of that 'please let me get you as my hubby everytime' BS.

Think about it. How would it have been fair had Sita left burdens on those who survived her? She never told K-L in this story not to blame anybody for her sacrifice, and she never asked Rama to love his subjects despite what they did to her, as depicted in the previous serial. Nor did she tell them anything about obeying their father.

And her reason for leaving, though unstated, was also pretty simple. Had she taken an oath that she'd have survived, she'd have left a message that it's okay to sacrifice one's honor in lieu of prestige, such as being the queen. She did not take the oath so that K-L would succeed the throne. Here, she's made to look like Kaikeyi - wanting the throne of Ayodhya for her own sons so badly that she's willing to die and leave a huge guilt footprint on everybody so that her sons get it. Bharat was the yuvraj - anybody think that she'd have been opposed to his sons getting the throne of Ayodhya? In fact, Kush did not replace Bharat as Yuvraj even after this incident. So how does this rationale for taking the oath even make sense? (Oh, and does anyone seriously believed that she'd have actually overriden the rajmatas?)

The Sagars - both Ramanand and Anand - have bas***dized this story (particularly this incident) beyond recognition 😡😡😡
