Yes, it was a curse given by Goddess Parvati to Mother Earth. Mother Earth had accepted the radiance of Lord Shiva who was Kaarthikeya or Lord Subrahmanya and Parvati Devi became highly furious for avoiding the intimacy from her husband and cursed that her children(Sita in Treta Yug & Narakasur in Dwapar Yug) will immerse in Earth after many tulmults in their lives

hey guys!!!!!!!!!

since the show is ending in few weeks and after seeing yesterday's episode... i have some questions in my mind...
first of all... its understood that all the incidents that happened had some or the other reason behind them like sitaji's abduction was due to the shrap of narad and sitaji's abandonment was due to the shrap of sage durvasa and all of this happened to give out a message to the world... but wat is the reason or the message involved behind the incident wen sitaji immerses in the earth.......
i think its totally unfair to ramji and sitaji that after so many hardships, trials and tribulations and so many years of separation, they still are not united at the end....
also.. i cant understand one thing that wen after listening to the ramkatha, ramji realises that he has done unjustice towards sitaji then why did he ask or allowed sitaji to pass the agnipareeeksha again...
can anyone plzzz answer my queries and give the reason behing this incident......

Chillygirl, there is no agnipariksha in Valmiki Ramayan in the end. For the sake of the praja he asks Sita to give an oath saying that she stayed true to Ramji and they kids are her children.

This is how it goes:
Maharishi Valmiki comes with Sita and gives his oath that Sita had lived all along in his ashram as his daughter and that L-K are her and Ramji's sons.

The praja is still not satisfied. They want Sita to give an oath. Ramji, bound by Rajya dharma, is forced to ask Sita to give an oath. Sita is finally fed up with the Avadhis and she asks Bhoomi devi to take her.

You know, a mere oath would not have satisfied the praja. The praja were a bunch of nut cases with severe mob mentality. 😡😡😡 I think Sita knew that only if she does something very drastic the praja would believe her and stop harrassing Ramji about her proof of chasisty. Without her sacrifice they would not have allowed Ramji to accept Luv-Kush as his sons. Sita knew her husband Ram was a very good king and he would not have done anything against the praja. In private he would have tortured his soul. So, she put an end to the speculation once and for all. The final sacrifice of Sita mata for the sake of her husband and sons. 👏

The Avadhis did not deserve Ram and Sita. I wish they had got Ravan as their king instead. 😡

very true... i also wish they had ravan as their king coz these avadhis had no feelings for their king, his personal and mental happiness... they were jus kinda harrasing ramji for the mere satisfaction of their own doubt...😡😡😡
