@ Ash - He is the actor, who worked in films like Gangster and Bhool Bhulaiya. Here you go an article with his picture:

@ Sarah, and Caroline - I'm reading mixed responses some articles claim that he raped her, while others say that she consented and they were having an affair. I very much hope he gets convicted, if he raped her, and I don't believe the whole consent story.

Don't you guys just hate it when we hear mixed stories in India? For instance with this Shiney Ahuja case, since it is in India we have heard three sides of the story so far, as opposed to the U.S had a celebrity done something like this the cops would verify the story, and the person would instantly be convicted, and charges would be made.

@ Caroline - Yes, I'm completely against infidelity too. I find it completely unacceptable, and hope the law is a bit more strict about it. I don't really understand when women forgive their husbands when they cheat on them, but then again it is their choice, and I shouldn't be making a comment on it. In this case I think the matter is being shown as "infidelity" so that he gets away with it. I don't believe this whole infidelity story.

@ Ash - Yep, him!

That's because in India, most average middle/lower class women don't have a choice. If they leave their husbands, they can't survive on their own (financially speaking). And they sure as hell won't find another man to marry because desi men only want "pure" women for themselves and not someone's leftovers, if you know what I mean. 🤢

Men on the other hand, get away because in that society you could leave your wife and find another woman in an instant. Since women aren't self-sufficient, they have to depend on a man. They haven't got a choice to choose from as they don't have the upper hand. Even a previously married man would do, as long as he provides financial support. *shakes head*
