Challenge 2006

Hi all,

Well Challenge 2005 is winding down...I think it'll b over in just over a month. Hope Zee n Gaj-ji bring back Challenge 2006.

But obviously, we as the followers of the show, know that there were some major glitches in the show that has disappointed n even at times angered SRGMP loyalists a lot.....

So I am requesting all of u to post some suggestions that u think should b included in Challenge 2006 to make the show better.

Also make it known who u think should b the mentors in the next series?

Regarding this my views r this:

If possible do away with public voting.....but I doubt that will b done cuz of various commercial as well as popularity reasons.

In that case my suggestion would be to have a voting system with weightage...meaning the final vote count for a participant should b calculated based on public as well as judge/mentor votes...much like the Nach Baliye format!! And like that show the final 2 or 3 rounds should be completely no public voting....the contestants who work so hard to reach such a stage deserve to b judged by a panel of eminent musicians..like it used to happen earlier in SRGMP.

Also there should not b any confusion regarding the number of winners to b at the end....or even last minute format changes (including tied votes).😉

I dont mind the mentors bickering amongst themselves.....as long as it doesnot cross the bounds of decency...but HR shouldn't b brought back. AS, JL n of course ID should b brought back (though there was some talk that AS maynot return) anyhow...n the 4th mentor can b some upcoming music directors like Shantonu Moitra (Parineeta/Yahaan), Shandesh Shandilya (Chameli/Uff Kya Jadu Mohabbat Hai/Piya Basanti(album)) or Pritam(Dhoom) or Vishal Shekhar (Jhankar Beats n many more) . You people also suggest some names.

Well, this was my 2 cents on the subject. Hope SRGMP Challenge comes back as a bigger n better show this year. Plz do post ur views...thanx in advance!

bublic voting should not include in 2006
and other mentor can be change but not HR

We have to get HR out - his song is being changed PAAGAL BANAYA, PAGAL BANAYA HR NEY

NO HR in 2006

Borrowing from simplyskud this is what HR said yesterday: "HR started of by saying to Vinit that he all of a sudden has a tough competitor and that's Debojit (because of the votes percentages) .. he wasn't aware why people were voting so much for Debojit ... HR further told that he personally didn't ever consider Debojit a good singer ... his singing never really touched HR .... He then sarcastically pointed out that only because of regional bent, Debojit was still in the show (Assam had a high percentage of votes in Debojit's share ....) and then told Vinit that he needed to perform even more better so that he could overdo the votes and regional bent of voting .... "

Prejudiced mentors should packed off for good

public voting should be done by only 25+ yr old adults.
Hard to monitor, but somebody can device a method.

No HR.
No Public voting
everything should be fair nothing fixed

As long as there's corruption in India, all matches, contests and competitions will be fixed.

My suggestions for SRGMP Challenge 2006:

1. As everyone pointed out, no HR!

2. No public voting! Be judged by someone knowledgable about music.

Be JUDGED by someone knowledgable about MUSIC. NOT someone who acted, lip-synched, or danced to music. NOT someone who wrote lyrics to a song. and NOT someone who made movies

3. Do away with the lip-synching in the beginning. It looked too artificial and defeats the "purity" of this show it once had.

4. It is really awesome that all of the contestants became "celebrities" within six months. Now, they tried mixing fashion, acting skills, how to dance, etc. etc. It is a singing competition for cying out loud! Not a "who is a good celebrity show" If one of those contestants want to become a celebrity performer, then Challenge 2006 should not be for them. Indian Idol or Fame Gurukul would be better for them.

before participationc can take part there voice quality should be check. if voice is bacha or kacha it should not allow
till final four judges make choice. After final four all cream can be voted by public

i just say hr is pian in ass for public look like he is gay.
