Director Rohit Shetty said to have broken his own record

previous 1 of 3 next

Rohit Shetty shot the most expensive Bollywood song, "Tha Kar Ke", for his film "Golmaal Returns" last year. The director is now said to have broken his own record in his next laugh riot, "All The Best".

Rs. 6 crore had gone into the making of "Tha Kar Ke", the amount spent on the new song has not been disclosed.

"All The Best" is currently being shot in Goa. The song has been picturised on Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu and Mugdha Godse (pictured above) on a beach with elaborate sets made by Narendra Rahurikar.

The song also feartures a plethora of fighters, expensive cars and bikes and was shot over 6 days.

It has been choreographed by the duo Bosco – Ceasar while the music has been scored by Pritam.

Rohit Shetty flew down 1,000 dancers from Mumbai and arranged for 1,000 more locals from Goa for the song.

And what has Rohit got to say about it?

"Since the producer is Ajay Devgan, he has given me complete creative liberty and hasn't yet presented me with the bill," says the director.

Produced by Ajay Devgan Films, "All The Best" is scheduled to hit the theatres on October 16, 2009.

A mega budget song for All the Best!
IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, June 10, 2009]
Rohith Shetty may have hit a jackpot with his last film Golmaal Returns and looks like he is ready to do it again. After spending a whooping 6 crore for a highly stylized song Tha Kar Ke in Golamaal Retunrs he will now be making another mega budget song for Ajay Devgan's film 'All the Best'.
The song that features Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, and Mughda Godse has been shot in Goa over a period of 6 days. It took Rohith around 1700 people from Mumbai and about 300 Goan locals to create this song. However the director known for his flamboyant sequences in Golamaal Returns did not intend to break his own record.
We think in times of recession this certainly is an indulgence, however with friends like Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt as a part of the film, the super budget may just be justified.

Sanjay and Ajay become Black 'buddies'!
IndaGlitz [Monday, June 08, 2009]

Sanajay Dutt, Fardeen Khan and Ajay Devgan are already having a whale of a time on the sets of their movie, 'All The Best' in Goa.

We learn that Sanjay Dutt has now gifted buddy Ajay Devgan a Blackberry phone. Apparently Ajay uses the I –Phone and Communicator while Sanjay uses the Blackberry. Over a conversation, the duo got talking about gadgets and Sanjay happened to mention the Blackberry features that left Ajay utterly impressed!

The next thing he knows, Sanjay surprises him with a Blackberry phone! Our little birdie tells us that Baba known for his generosity also happens to be closely associated with Ajay Devgan's project. He helps Ajay take major decisions regarding the project and has been holding many meetings with key people in the industry. Well, this hardly comes as a surprise to anyone who knows him but one can't sure stop admiring the man.

They now conduct business meetings, share important data related to the film and also cheer each other when they are stressed. With Ajay and Sanju Baba bonding why is Jr. FK to be left behind? So, Ajay, Fardeen and Sanjay are seen chatting, sharing data, gaming etc in their group between shots. Apparently they are planning on including their ladies from the movie Mugdha and Bipasha, who also own the same phone.

Confirming the news is the movie's director Rohit Shetty, Yes it's true. They discuss a lot of stuff about the project over the phone. As it is they were gadget freaks, now they have become Blackberry buddies. Quite evidently they are having a great time all the more now.

The gift is sure proving beneficial to their bonding!
