Scene 1: outside the Party place
Rahul stops his car in front of a place called" wuthering heights".. He peeks out of the car window recollecing the address given by Anjy .. the noise was defeaning and loud music was hitting the ear drums.. trust Anjy to pick a place which totally symbolises her.. he very slowly then looks at Riddhima who is sitting on the other side feeling a little lost herself... he knows that this is not Riddhima's scene but one cant offend Anjy too.. she had actually sounded very exicited about the whole evening as she was making the arrangements..now the question was .. why this great effort..?? was she really doing this for Riddhima or for the transfer guy ??..well that was anybody's guess...actually not very difficult to say.. if any one saw the looks she was giving him in the cafeteria in college the truth would have been for everyone to see......
He takes a deep breadth...well, enough of this speculation... Anjy had organised this party for Riddhima and they were damn well gonna enjoy it....so what better time than now to lift Riddhima's spirits..
Ra:" so madam " birthday girl" shall we"??...( gesturing her to go in)
Ri:" Rahul, kya sach mai jaana hoga.. i mean just listen to all this noise.. yeh sab di ko acha lagta hai.. its her way of enjoying things..but.."
Ra:" Riddhima, Anjy kafi excited hai iss eveing ko leke... we cant disappoint her .. and you know how she gets when things dont go her way.. and besides this party is for you.. "
Ri:" i know.. ( saying with a compromising look).. ok.. lets go and face it.. but tumhe mera ek kaam karna hoga"..( eyeing him as if testing him)
Rahul gets of his car and goes on the other side to open the door so Riddhima could come out.. he gives the keys for valet parking.. he then comes back to her and says" your request is my command"saying in a comical manner ..
Ri:" Rahul, tum bhi na...anyways you have to keep me away from that jerk " on seeing Rahul's questioning frown.." arey, that stupid cynide guy.." di ne usse bhi toh invite kiya hai. pata nahi di ko kya ho gaya hai.. uss idiot ko bulane ki kya zaroot thi??
Ra:" oh.. him...! gabharao mat, Rahul Garewal hai na.. tum bas mere saath rehna.." ok??
Riddhima justs nods and takes Rahul's hand and they both walk in to the noisy joint..
Scene 2: pub cum disco..
As Riddhima enters a happy birthday tune starts to play by the Dj.. all her friends and college guys come and sorround her and sing along with it.. some hug her. some shower her with bouquets.. one or two girls even manage to gift her , her favourites books..she is very touched by all this and seeing a geniune smile on her face pleases Rahul.. He is glad that Anjy managed a decent party after all..
Riddhima looks around and realises di had really gone to alot of trouble for her.. the entire place is lit up and loads of colourful balloons are scattered on the floor and are also hanging from the ceilings with silver streamers.. the whole place looks like celebration time.. she spots Anjy and and goes up to her.. Rahul too follows her.. but before Rahul can stop her, Anjy turns .. and Riddhima's smile lit face drops like a pack of cards.. ..its him !!...Di is with that guy !.....she looks at Rahul and he gives her a " calm down look"
Anjy hugs Riddhima and wishes her ..
An:" Ridzy, i'm so happy you made it on time..hey you know Armaan , right??.. turning to him..
Armaan shrugs his shoulders and pulls himself up from the stool not too happy on seeing Riddhima too..Riddhima's face also mirrors the same expression.(.so no love lost there)..they both look at each other for a second before looking elsewhere till Anjy speaks up..
An:" now c'mon you both.. dont you think you both have had enough.. Ridzy? ( asking her silently to let go off the morning confrontation)
Ar:" ( finally for Anjy , he makes the first move) " hi ! happy birthday.." putting his hand out for the secnd time in the day..and waiting..
Rahul nudges Riddhima to go for it and accept truce.. Riddhima looks at Rahul and exchange an understanding glance..she then looks at Armaan and says," thank you " and places her hand in his...the moment he is about to close his fingers to shake it, she slips her hand out...Armaan justs looks down with a slight twisted smile, and says under his breadth.. " so thats how its gonna be... fine" !!
An:" finally.. thank god.. i swear Ridzy, you and Rahul are perfect... ! tujhe woh hi handle kar sakta hai.."
There is an awkward silence for a second with Rahul and Riddhima not knowing where to look..Armaan watches this scene with interest...
Ri:" di aap phir shuru ho gayi... please..!
An:"ok ok !!( putting her hands up in a surrender manner)..." lets leave all this.. chalo dance karte hai.. its party time.. !! she pulls Armaan by his hand who is more than happy to get away .. Riddhima just looks at the two of them and tells Rahul, that she is thirsty.. Rahul goes over to the bar and gets two glasses of coke and xtra crushed ice for Riddhima...
The party is now in full swing ...all are having a great time.. Anjy and Armaan are on the floor and are quite busy with each other... light is flickering giving all colourful effects on th dance floor.. the music is too loud.. Riddhima is trying her best to enjoy but is unable to do so....Rahul gets a feeling that Riddhima is not really herself ... an idea hits him...
Ra:" lets go ! he pulls Riddhima by her arm...
Ri:" kahan..? Rahul, aise kaise ja sakte hai.. di bura mane gi..."
Ra:" Anjy ko mein samjha dunga.. and by the way, dont you wanna get out of this mad place...tumhari shakal toh yehi keh rahi hai.. and where i am taking you , you will thank me like... forever..."
Riddhima just gives him curious look and gets a little excited herself...so they quietly slip off from there....
Scene 3: The beach..
The waves are hitting the shores and the noise on the banks are those of the pebbles and little water over lapping each other.. Riddhima cant beleive the the place Rahul has got to is her favourite place when ever she needed to think or be by herself...she turns to Rahul getting all teary and nostalgic.. she remembers all the times when she and Rahul used to built sand castles and eat bhel ...Rahul gives her his hand ...she slips off her sandals and folds her churidaar up a bit so that the she can feel the cold water against her ankles.. she then places her hand in his as they both start to walk along the edge of the bank without saying anyhing to each other....sometimes words are not needed... Riddhima recollects the number of time she fought with Anjy and then used to land up here, and Rahul being Rahul used to come in no time manouing her..Riddhima smiles as she thinks of herself as quite a little brat back then..she turns to Rahul who himself is in deep thought..
Ri:" tum mujhe kaise bardashat karte thy... i mean , i was so silly back then...kitna bachpana tha.. par hamesha mera mood theek karne ke liye, you always managed to give me the " Rahul Grewal pill" !! .. as you used to say it then and even now... how did you know that i needed you..."
Ra:" bas pata tha.. you needed a friend .. and i wanted to be that friend.. pata hai hamari dosti ki sabse achi aur khas baat kya thi ??...( she looks at him curiously)" our not having to talk all the time when we are together and yet understanding everything.." jaise aaj bhi , agar hum ek doosre ke saath chal rahe hai, toh zaroori nahi ki humhe baat karni hai.. hum khamosh rehkar bhi bohot kuch keh lete hai aur samajh bhi jaate hai.." right ..? ...he smiles at her faint smile and nod ...
Ri:" you know you are my best friend.." i hope, hamare beech kabhi koi bhi na aaye.. friends forever ??? she looks at him and he looks back with a smile saying friends forever..!!
Scene 4: At the same time in the party…..
Anjy is absolutely enjoying the dance with Armaan… he just about the perfect guy anyone could ask for… there was a way he handled women and it was absolutely….and as they sit down at the table, downing one more tequila shot before Armaan says….
Ar:…. She had horribly long hair……..!
Anjy ( looking at her own hair… all droopily, that's just about shoulder length, touching it) you don't like long hair…. Gimme a five ( she tries to give him a five, but she misses it…. She tries again, this time the edge of her hand meets his hand)… " hey that's not a five… that was just a 2.5!
Ar: yo funny….!!!!
Anjy: I am not funny… I am anjy….
Ar: I am sorry, this wasn't funny …………. Yo weird…..
Anjy suddenly gets all angry…. " I am weird…. You called me weird…. How dare u…. how could you… she gets up… starts throwing glasses, and food and everything on the table…. " you are weird…. Not me… you are weird you get that… you psyched out I have had 25 gal friends so far Mr. Wannabe….
Armaan now tries to hold Anhy as though to control her…. " hey relax, relax, calm down beautiful…..i was only kidding"
Anjy suddenly starts to smile….. " really? You think I am beautiful???"
Armaan: nods….

Armaan says… Anjy we need to get home … we'll meet tomorrow… ( he looks out for Rahul and Riddhima… but cant find her anyway….
Anjy is totally drunk and almost dropping onto Armaan…. He holds her by one side and dials Rahul's number from Anjali's phone…..
As Riddhima sits in the car with child like innocence, with the orange of the ice cream making a mouch all around her lips….. Rahul smiles at her…..
Rid: Kya?
Rahul: itni badi ho gayi ho… ek saal main Doc ban jaogi, aur abhi tak theek se ice cream khaana nahi aata madame ko….
Riddhima giggles " kisne kaha nahi aata… this is the way it is supposed to be eaten….. and besides… aise khaane main jo maza hai…..
Rahul: haan haan.. dekho apni itni acchi dres kharaab karli…. ( pointing at her dress where there is a huge blot of orange)
She takes her napkin out and tries to rub it off looking a little sad now…." Rahul looks at her and smiles…. " rehne do… dress hi toh hai….and plus it could be a new style statement….Anjy would appreciate it…."
Riddhima smiles but says nothing…..
Rahul: toh? Ghar chale birthday gal…..
Rid: abhi nahi Rahul…. Thodi der bad….
Rahul: madame kaafi der ho chuki hai… uncle gussa karenge ( as he says this he sees a worried look on Riddhima's face as though she knows, but she still says)
Rid: nahi… papa kkkuch nnnahi kahenge Rahul…. Thodi der aur rukte hai na (evasively looking away from his face)
Rahul: Riddhima…. Anjy also will have to go back home now….. its late… uske liye tumhe itni der bahar renhi ki koi zaroorat nahi hai… samjhi……
He gets a phone call…. " we are coming"
