Thanks for the update. I too hope the wedding was all Hema's dream. If not, then this serial has begun its descent.
I was reading in today's local papers that a judge in Delhi called upon some army officer who had filed for divorce to in fact go home and obey his wife. The commentary that followed talked about growing feminism in India and how it was politically incorrect to say anything disrespectful of women, blah, blah. Just a load of bull, it would seem.
I am sure the reality is not black and white but lies somewhere in between -- between women's rights becoming better respected, on the one hand, and the continued subjugation of women, on the other hand.
But surely the media, in this case, tv serials, can steer away from polygamy and towards greater respect of women's rights?
