For Rajshri, money doesn't matter
Mumbai: It is common knowledge that recession has hit the television industry very hard. Still it seems rapport in the industry plays a great role, even more than money.Rajshri Thakur has done a guest appearance in JD Majethia's Shree and she hasn't charged a single penny for it.When the show started, it generated very good TRPs for Zee TV and the producer. But the ratings stagnated after a point of time. Then after unveiling the bhootni's secret in the show, ratings have picked up. Now, Majethia does not want to leave any stone unturned to maintain the show's good run.
Rajshri, whose show Saat Phere has gone off-air after a successful run, has not taken up any show yet. When the channel and the producer approached her to make a guest appearance in Shree, she obliged owing to her great rapport with the channel. She turned down the offer of accepting money.
Interestingly, her Saat Phere co-star Sharad Kelkar has also done a guest appearance in the same serial but he did charge his fees.
Ajay Bhalwankar, programming head, Zee TV, says, "We have roped in Sharad and Rajshree to play Shiv-Parvati. They have been a popular on-screen couple for four years. Viewers wish to see them once again together after their exit in Saath Phere."
