Juhi, ur comment about stuffing cotton was so funny. 🤣
🤣
I love the songs in this Ramayan. I am constantly humming the songs at home. Jai Hanuman is my favorite and so is Namami Bhakth Vatsalam. Also, Siya Pratibhimb, Narayana Namo Narayana, Shabari songs, and so many others. How can someone not like the music? I understand if someone says that the L-K fairy tale portion was bad but that is only a small part of this Ramayan. All the other songs r sooooo good.

Does anyone know where to get the CD?

i mean i love this ramayan but i have to agree with him that at some instances when the mood should have been built up, it wasnt always done to perfection. I mean how many times is raag rang chaeo to be played, there are many good excelent tracks out there of indian classical music, but its funny how every king e.g. lavnasur, bali, sugreev and ravan listen to the same damn song and dance lol.

Where there are positive points (which are many) there will allways be negative points, so accept them and not let your infactuations of gurmeet cloud your judgement,

Mahakaal, u have given a more balanced view which is ok. Some of the songs are just great and the Sagars could have done better in others. This is balanced criticism. The other person dissed all the songs outright. I think this is why the other members got angry.

dwelling on the issue of the music a little more, one thing i didnt like was the use of pop style music, e.g. in 22nd may when sri raam and hanuman ji go to find kashi naresh, the music they played was innapropriate and spoilt the mood, they went on a serious mission and sagars played pop music??!!??

Also when sri raam crossed the lanka bridg the music was inapropriate where instead of playing serious war music they played light dance music. HELLO!! sri raam is about to do yudh ki charai not to go participate in nach baliye! lol

I have to say though the music associated with raavan was spot on perfect, sinnister yet south indiany.

The reason i scrutinise is because i am also a musicologist, and music really does make or break the mood created.

Other than the pop style music the rest was great
