So the show is ending June 26? And every episode w/ a new twist? So Monday we will see Rama vs Hanuman, Tuesday K-L learning the Ramayan story, Wednesday, the decision to have the Ashwamedha and so on? Oh, and the story will end w/ 'Sita's dharti mein samagam (Sita being swallowed by the Earth) followed by Ram and Lakshman drowning themselves in a lake'??? I wonder whether this legendary team knows that Sita's vow was that were she not pure, the earth should split open and she should fall into it, and if she was, Bhoomi Devi should come and accept her in her lap? And Rama and Lakshman drowning? Why, didn't they have swimming lessons in Vashishtha's ashram? And since when is the Sarayu a lake? Really, is this what they're going to show?

The Sagars do have a sense of irony, w/o knowing it. From the article referenced above was this quote, which I found priceless:

To be fair though, the phrase "swallowed by the Earth" is quite commonly used to refer to the end of Sita's story in the epic. It is not accurate but a common usage nonetheless. 😊
