Some of you may know about an old 80s DD show called Sinhasan Battisi. It was based on the 32 tales of the throne of King Vikramaditya. Well we can watch it on the Rajshri site now. 😊

Is it a fictional tale of king Vikram-aditya or a collection of actual happenings during his reign?

It's based on one of the two most famous cycles of legends/tales about Vikramaditya. Are you familiar with the Vetala Panchvimshati where a Vetala narrates 25 fantastic tales to Vikramaditya? That is one of the cycles of tales about the king.

The other cycle is Simhasana Dwatrimshika: where the 32 puppets on the throne of King Vikramaditya narrate 32 legends about him to King Bhoja. This serial is based on these legends. 😊
