What does a girl/boy want in a true relationship? - Page 3

Cool topic.
Personally, I would love if any guy would love me unconditionally.. however for me that is something i can only dream about.
I have never been in a relationship, I have liked guys but I don't know if they have felt the same way towards me. And I would never find out because i would never make the first move, ever. At the moment as well I really like a guy, and I speak to him a lot, only to find that a really close friend of mine likes him a lot too. I have resolved to not like him anymore, I even try and avoid talking to him, but when he starts a conversation with me its hard to ignore. One day I even resolved to forget about him and that same day he invited me out.
A lot of things have happened since i made an account on india-forums so now contrary to my username, I don't know whether I believe in love or not.
I just feel that it's something which is only shown in films and something which doesn't happen in real life.
I know I'm probably wrong, I really hope I am.
I've heard that when a guy falls in love with a girl, he loves the girl more than the girl loves him. Is that true?
Lol, i know i've ranted and i don't quite know myself what i've said. I hope you can make sense of it.
But back to the point of the topic, I guess I agree with Taani. But I would really like to know what a guy wants in a girl, what does he look for?

Every girl i personally feels wants to have unconditional love in the sense that her othr half completely understands her, would do anything to make her happy, supports her in all aspects of her life and when she is overshadowed by sadness he is like the ray of sunshine which makes everything beautiful again for her. All this might seem a lot to a guy but the truth is the reason we all want that is because we rarely see in the real world love which is like that, sure we see it in all the movies, but in real life its almost like there are the lucky people who find a person who loves them like that, because guys generally are neighter as committed and sacrificing as girls, i mean like someone earlier said in this post a girl gives her 100% to all her relationship but men it seems can move on very quickly and the only men i have ever heard of sacrificing are those who have sacrificed their love to marry a girl of their moms choice which to me is wrong if there is nothing wrong with the girl ( in terms of compatibility) and the reason the mum doesn't agree is because she just wants her own way, that to me is really weak love. i also think like others have said when you find somone who loves you like that you get all the qualities you want like trust,honesty etc and alongside that the luxuries come too because the guy will always put you first. i do believe in love though and i hope i am of those lucky ones who gwts someone who truly is my soulmate and loves me irrevocably and unconditionally

well movies only show a part of theproblems they have ....

like all others said .. girl wants unconditional love ..

they want someone who they can handover their worries too and whose worries they can share ..who makes them an equal partner in the relationship..
i always give an analogy from our life
we cant walk with both the foot put together forward ..and we cant walk keeping only foot forward always ..

the way u wil make a longest walk is switching foot ..... sometimes girl has to take a lead and take a control on things ..and sometimes guys have to take a control ..


girls want a guy who stands with her in everything ..who loves her without any condition ..doesnt matter if she is fat or short or tall or dark beautiful ..who loves her as she is ..

very nice topic! m so tempted to answer here...hehe...wel i completley agree wit taani's words...lookin in a more practical way, luxary and others are also neccessary too...but what tops the most is getting the love from the person who loves u the most that they wont even think about anytin else except for his/her happiness....i guess the same applies for boys too...they too would expect the same from girls
