KK turns to leave, Roshni gets up and stops him
R - KK wait...don't get angry please....we have no choice
KK - get out of the way
R - KK...calm down, think rationally....
KK - move!
Roshni gets scared, she slowly moves out of the way, KK angrily leaves the gym and heads upstairs to confront Karan.
Part 32
Karan opens his cupboard and puts his jacket away, he shuts the cupboard and turns around only to have KK push him against the cupboard
Kar - KK calm down
KK - what the hell is wrong with you? why are you doing this?
Kar - I've got no choice
KK - yes you do! just go and tell mum and dad the truth, simple as!
Kar - don't you think I've tried that? I tried today aswell but dad....I can't let him down
KK loosens his grip on Karan
KK - you can't let dad down, but you're willing to ruin my relationship? and your own? what about Tia? I thought you loved her?
Kar - I do, but not everything is about love, this is about our parents and Roshni's parents, we're doing it for them, look you're angry now but in time you'll understand....you'll come to accept that me and Roshni are going to get married....it'll be hard but...
Karan doesn't finish his sentance as he recieves a hard blow to his jaw, KK grabs him by his collar and shoves him towards the bed, Karan looks at him and sees rage in KK's eyes, Karan puts his hand out in front of him
Kar - KK what the hell? I'm your brother!
KK - yeah and maybe you forgot what I said? I won't lose Roshni to anyone, not even you! I love her too much!
Kar - fine
Karan stands up in front of KK
Kar - you want to beat me up? go ahead, I won't stop you, you need to get your frustration out, but it won't change anything....I am going to marry her
KK - stop saying that!
KK punches Karan in his stomach, Karan falls to the floor, KK picks him up and is about to hit him again when he feels someone grab his arm, he turns and finds Aryan standing there looking angry and confused, he pulls KK off Karan and helps Karan sit on the bed, he looks at KK and drags him out of the room into the hallway
Ar - you have two seconds to explain
KK - that son of a ***** is saying he's going to marry Roshni!
Ar - son of a *****? he's your brother KK, not some enemy
KK - if he's marrying Roshni, then he isn't my brother anymore
Ar - wait, you're going to throw away everything you have with your brother, over my sister? over a girl? you're insane
KK - I might be, because I love your sister
Ar - more than Karan?
KK - more than anyone
Ar - listen you need to calm down and think properly
KK - Aryan just butt out of this ok
Ar - no
KK ignores him and heads back to the room but Aryan pulls him back
KK - let me go
Ar - why so you can beat Karan to a pulp?
KK - I just want to talk to him
Ar - of course you are
KK - listen Aryan, whatever happens is between me and my brother, so just get lost
Aryan looks shocked, the door opens and Karan shakes his head
Kar - Aryan, go, it'll be ok
Aryan looks from Karan to KK then slowly leaves, Karan goes back inside and sits on his bed, KK closes the door and sits opposite him on his own bed
KK - look what you've bought up on yourself, this can all be avoided Karan, just stop this madness of marrying Roshni, please
Kar - I would if I could, but everything is set now, I can't do anything
KK closes his eyes, a tear falls down, Karan goes to him and sits by him and puts a hand on his shoulder
Kar - I never meant for this to happen, you think it make me happy knowing my brother's heart is breaking?
KK breathes deeply and pushes KK's hand off his shoulder and stands up
KK - honestly, I think it does
Karan stands up and faces him
Kar - what?
KK - yeah, it does make you happy that you're taking away the one person I love from me
Kar - no....that's not true
KK - it is, and I know exactly why you're doing it..because you're taking revenge
Kar - revenge? for what?
KK - for all those times you liked something but I liked it too and you let me have it, all these years the hatred for me taking things from you, it built up, and now you have the chance to take away the most important thing in my life...and that's what you're doing
Kar - no...KK.....I would never...
KK - you would, you want to know why? because you are exactly like dad
Kar - what?
KK - dad did the same thing to bade papa didn't he? he took dadi from him, he took dadaji from him
KK smiles while Karan shakes his head
KK - which means...I'm like bade papa right? yeah I am
KK nods his head while smiling
KK - and we all know what he was like right? he hated dad, he went against everything dad did and said, and eventually he went against dad, so I guess that means I'm against you...but...bade papa would never have done anything to harm dad.....which means I'm worse than him
KK stops smiling and grabs hold of Karan's collar again and pulls him close and looks in dead in the eyes
KK - I'm worse because I will kill you if you marry her
KK pushes Karan away from him, Karan just stares at him
Kar - you've gone mad.....completely mad
KK - yeah, and we all know whose fault that is....yours
Kar - I don't even know who you are any more
Karan shakes his head and leaves the room, KK watches him go, he spots a picture of Karan and himself, he picks it up and throws it against the wall in rage and storms out of the room. Meanwhile Aryan is sitting with Ria on a bench in the park
Ar - he was crazy, beating his brother up like that, the things he was saying, he's gone mad
Ri - what are we going to do? everything's ruined
Ar - I just don't know anymore, I seriously don't have the answer
Aryan burries his head in his hands, Ria rests her head on his shoulder, he looks up at her
Ar - I don't know what to do Ria, on one side my sister has agreed to marry Karan, but on the other side there's KK and Tia, both are hurting
Ri - maybe you're not meant to know what to do, maybe it isn't you who has to sort this problem out this time, this is Karan and Roshni's decision, so the next move is up to them
Ar - maybe you're right
Ri - I have to head home, I need to make sure Tia's ok, you want to come?
Ar - sure
Aryan drives Ria home, they head upstairs to Tia's room only to find Tia lying unconcious on the floor, Ria and Aryan run to her
Ri - oh my God, what happened to her?
Aryan spots a bottle in Tia's hand, he takes it and looks at it then shows it to Ria
Ar - sleeping pills, listen we better take her to the hospital
Ri - what about mum and dad?
Ar - don't tell them anything, we'll take her and bring her back before they know
Aryan lifts Tia up in his arms and takes her downstairs, Ria holds the front door opens for him then opens the car, Aryan puts Tia inside and Ria sits next to her, Aryan drives them to the hospital
Ri - should we call Karan?
Ar - why? so he can feel even guiltier than he already does?
Ri - but he should know
Ar - we'll tell him once Tia's better
Ri - ok
Aryan and Ria arrive at the hospital, they take Tia inside and the doctor examines her then goes outside to talk to Aryan and Ria
Ar - is she ok?
D - she's fine now
Ri - thank you so much
D - but why did she take an overdose?
Aryan glances at Ria
Ri - because of exam stress, she wnats to get top marks, I guess the stress got to her
D - make sure it doesn't happen again
Ar - can we see her?
D - yes
Ri - will we be able to take her home?
D - yes, but make sure she takes lots of rest
Aryan and Ria go inside, Tia wakes up, Ria runs to her ad hugs her
Ri - are you insane? what the hell were you thinking?
T - I couldn't take it anymore, the thought of Karan and Roshni, it just ate at me
Aryan puts his hand on her head
Ar - we understand that, but didn't you think of what your mum and dad would think?
T - I guess not, I just wnated the pain to go away
Ri - everything will be ok, lets get you home
Aryan fills out Tia's discharge papers then takes Ria and Tia home, he rings Karan and tells him what happened, Karan rushes over, he goes upstairs to Tia's room and runs to her and hugs her
Kar - are you ok? what were you thinking?
Tia slowly pulls away from him
T - I'm ok, but I..I don't want to see you
Karan looks hurt but he nods his head and leaves and heads home.
Coming up - Karan gets a shock when he goes home, Karan and Roshni's engagement day arrives and KK is up to no good
