Format of JDJ... Must Read

Ok guyz... I have seen a lot of Hate topics for whoever survived the dance off... Just becoz a certain participant failed to score in the Dance Off... so I thought I can just ellaborate the Format of the show for those Unaware Types...

It is an international Show... so basically the format is followed all over the world.... If you search for "Dancing with the stars" on the search engine, you will be presented with maybe a site or two telling you the basic format of the show...

The format basically is... "Viewers are given a certain amount of time to place votes on their favorite dancers, either by telephone or (in some of the shows) by the Internet. The couple with the lowest combined score (judges plus viewers) is eliminated and does not go on to the next week."

It is basically voting for one's favourite dancer... It doesnot anywhere say... "The dancer who danced well in the previous episode or giving the country the best dancer(I actually read someone mention this reason for voting in one of these topics)".. so that is basically what everyone is doing... voting for the person they prefer as a dancer...

If the concept was about who the best dancer is based on the technicalities of a certain dance then judges preferences would have been enuff... and that the judges had already told us thru their scores who they thought should win... But the concept includes an overall strategy... not the technical side but the nontechnical one too... who an ordinary nondancer viewer likes.... maybe I like someone's style of dancing... I would vote for that person. and not for the highest scorer in the previous episode...

I dont understand why judges are going or acting to be on strike... Though, we know for sure... they would be judging the show next week too... If it was all about the highest scorer then they could have asked to change the format... by asking the lowest scorers to dance in the dance off... It has always been like this... why such a big deal for a certain participant...

I tried making it as simple as possible... for you all to understand... I work as a media representative for a foreign channel so I know what role the format of a show plays... You cant change it... Accept it

Well, I agree and i disagree.

About the format... "Dancing with the Stars"....They are inspired with the Actual show....But here n there, there could be some slight changes in the Indian version of the format.

I agree ppl can vote for their FAV....But not to forget its a "Dance Reality Show"...therefore Dancing should be given preference.

The question then is....Why not only the judges scores...........?

Answer is: Coz if that were the case....then probably there would not have been any season 2...forget about season 3.......In India till you make audience a part of it, show them some unnecessary drama.....you dont get TRP's. No TRP's No Show.

The Best example is.... Starone Channel. When the Channel was new...for 1 year it showed All Best serials ...Like Siddhant, Special Squad, Remix, Sarabhai, Guns and Roses, Hotel Kingston etc etc........But since it lacked that extra melodrama...that other K-serials had that time....they never got TRP's..........As a result After 1 year all these shows ended. Though those were the Best at that time on Indian television. As per a report by starone they got TRP's only for 2 of their shows....They were Nach Baliye and Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Both of them were based on voting.

So to remove voting is out of question....

Yeah but i do agree if you have the format where ppl can vote for their FAV...then probably we cant complain..

Be ready for all kinds of results.......Also expecting the most deserving to win the reality show is next to impossible i guess.......coz audience do tend to support their fav's....forget fav's there is this regional discrimination too..n then Religion factor...So many factors for the audience to get their fav to win the show.

Its better to sit n support your fav now... n let the Lucky one win. Afterall luck also matters.
