The MM (mugamudi man) can be that Murugan (think he is still alive !!), Adhi's man. Or it could have been arranged by Neelambari after the change of facial expressions at the hospital after Sundara's arrival.

There has to be some motive. They did it to Neela's mother, so Neela has to exact revenge back on Jeeva. Neela has said many times that she intetensly loves her mother despite her efforts to get thamira out. Only please don't tell me it is Aadi for obvious reasons.
