weddings in india r unnecessarily lavish....
this point may seem irreleavnt here but still the rate of divorce is on the rise in india-i think the money they waste on such lavish weddings can b used at a later time if at all,god-forbid there is a divorce or any such thing....
even if the marriage doesn't end in a divorce- the money cud b used 4 the couple's benefit-2 do something they like-this is what i feel

Its all upto the individual & caretakers etc, how much they want to spend & how they want to spend it. Noone is forcing them.
Actually, it should be spent wisely & not wasted.

Some spend copious amount of money on weddings because it's a special day for them and they want to do it perfectly.

Others do it because they want to keep or showoff their economic status in the society. Think Donald Trump and his wedding!

In my point of view I think its good that you spend how much you want on the clothing cuz guess what..you only get married ONCE in your lifetime (perhaps even twice or more if you are unhappy with your first). So spend how much you want! We work for money dont we? Why do we make money? To spend it! If you dont spend the money on your most IMPORTANT day of your like then why make money? But there are some people that keep a budget which yea is good. So you dont spend all your money and go out of debt. But come on its your WEDDING DAY! Spend all you want! But then again Im just a young teenager, I have a wild imagination😉😳

i think the fancy weddings would have been all GREAT if we thought of it as 'we only get maried once.' But now with divorces after two daiis of mariage, I'd tend to think twice.

if i am getting married, and i want to wear "50,000Rs" clothes (though it can be done in "5000Rs" dress), then i will wear it.

.....xactly, if u hfe money....me thinks its perfectly fine 2 splurge it on sme ocassions like dse....

like, after witnessing so many ultra-lavish, full of show-sha marriages in del, its rather diff 4 me 2 imagine attending a wedding...which is like u knw....simple n stff....

so, i think indi marriages shud remain the way they r....😊

I think if people have that kind of money to spend and they willing to then it okay but on the other hand if they dont have it then they should go with something small. For me I am a spender so if I like something I will go for it.
