GEC Genre: Star Plus, Colors, Zee TV neck-to-neck in Week 19

In Week 19, the top three Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) - Star Plus, Colors and Zee TV, were competing very close with each other. Both Star Plus and Colors have garnered 22 per cent share each, as per the latest TAM report, for C&S 4+, HSM audiences.

Both the channels have seen losses in GRPs and viewership in the past week and both have garnered 248 GRPs each. While Star Plus lost 31 GRPs, Colors has lost 16 GRPs.

The GRPs of Zee TV stands at 236 and it has managed to draw a relative channel share of 21 per cent. It's the only channel to have seen a rise in its share in the week. Two of its shows are in the top five in Week 19.

NDTV Imagine is at No. 4 with 83 GRPs and has managed to grab a relative share of 7 per cent. Sony Entertainment TV, with 73 GRPs, has managed to lock a 6 per cent share in the Hindi GEC pie.

Sab TV, with 54 GRPs, is only 2 GRPs behind Star One and both these channels have garnered a 5 per cent relative share each in the latest week. Sahara One has maintained its 45 GRPs and commands a 4 per cent channel share.

DD1 has garnered 3 per cent share. 9X, Star Utsav and Real have got 2 per cent share each with 23, 22 and 20 GRPs respectively.
