SHAHID RESCUES DIRECTOR KUNAL

When director Kunal Kohli was having problems casting actors for his next film, actor Shahid Kapur came to his rescue. No sooner the director came out of the Yash Raj banner, the movie's cast comprising Ranbir Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar and John Abraham declined to work with Kunal. So, the director had no choice but to play the lead role and do a Farhan Akhtar himself. He was encouraged to do so by his friends and was in fact toying with the idea. But, Shahid Kapur came to his help. He agreed to do the film for Kunal. In fact, Shahid readily agreed to be a part of Kunal's film when the latter dropped by on his sets for a script narration! This suited both director Kunal Kohli and actor Shhaid Kapur.

Though Shahid has made his foray in Yash Raj films with their upcoming film 'Hadippa', the relationship between the Yash banner and Shahid hadn't been too amicable . So, Shahid didn't at all mind taking on the Yash Raj team by working with their breakaway protg, and thus bail Kunal out of his casting misery. Kunal also obliged Shahid by giving him more say than just acting in the film. The actor has already succeeded in suggesting several changes in the script. However, he won't be a part of the selection process for a new girl that will be launched in the film. Anyway, the movie would hopefully turn better since the lead role won't fall on the director's shoulders.
