Rati Pandey, who is presently seen as Nupur in Mile Jab Hum Tum (Star One) recently suffered from very high fever and severe backache. But despite of all this, she has been shooting for the show without any breaks.
"DUE to exertion, I had backache and was feeling weak," says Rati, "it got aggravated during the holi sequence because we were shooting continuously for three days. As it was a Holi sequence, we had to get wet and that was what increased my back pain. I even suffered from 103 degrees fever."
When she realised she was down with high fever, she had no option but to go to the doctor. She says, "I went to the doctor and he told me that my hectic schedule caused a deficiency of hemoglobin and low BP. There has been a muscle spasm due to lack of rest and that is why I've developed the back pain."
It has been a week now and the actress says she is feeling much better. "I am fine now. Apart from the medication, the doctor has advised me to avoid driving and overexerting. I have even been told not to use pillows while sleeping. I am also doing certain exercises and fortunately I am feeling better now," she adds.
Despite having fever, the actress has not been able to take adequate rest as she tells us, "Being a part of a daily, you really can't take an off and rest at home. But still, the production unit is very sweet; they try to give me time to rest in between the shots. Luckily, now my call time is not so early so I am able to get a good 6 hours of sleep at night."
Rati resides alone in Mumbai and her mother is planning to fly all the way from Delhi to take care of her. Rati says, "My mom is coming next month as she is very worried about my health. Everyday, I get at least 10 calls enquiring about my health. She makes sure to remind me to have fruits and juices and to eat on time. It's because of her that I'm fine now. I am waiting for her to come here."
