Deepika gives a Cold Shoulder to Btown Celebs!

Going by the Bollywood-bonding at the Lakme Fashion Week, rising star Deepika Padukone has no friends in the B-town.At the 'Mai Mumbai' show, a number of stars graced the occasion. While Preity Zinta cheered for most Bollywood showstoppers from Arjun Rampal to Farhan Akhtar, she let her hands drop in her lap when Deepika walked the ramp.

Earlier, even in Manish Malhotra's show, Asin, Anushka Sharma, Riteish Deshmukh and even yesteryear star Sridevi were seen indulging in some rare tinsel town camaraderie. But Deepika was given a collective cold shoulder. Left to her own resources, she just concentrated on the show.

While this can be an epidemic case of green-eyed jealousy hitting all the celebrities, the main reason could be something else. Perhaps Deepika should reconsider her attitude and consider lowering her high airs.

Mumbai: Talk about turf wars. At the Mai Mumbai show, Preity Zinta cheered for many friends from Bollywood -- from Arjun Rampal to Farhan Akhtar. But when Deepika Padukone walked the ramp, Preity just didn't seem to be enthused. Now, was there a twinge of jealousy?

Earlier, Manish Malhotra's front row on Friday saw a Bollywood full-course meal with Deepika, Asin, Anushka Sharma, Riteish Deshmukh and even yesteryear star Sridevi. But what we saw was Deepika being ignored by both Asin and Anushka -- with the newbie having nowhere to look except sheepishly concentrate on the show.

While rivalries are part and parcel of Tinseltown, what was interesting was that Asin was also chatting up Sophie Chaudry who was sitting to this South Indian actress's right. Deshmukh was sitting between Anushka and Asin and all three bonded well as they could be seen giggling and chatting happily. Only poor Deepika was left out. She was only seen conversing with Sridevi, who was sitting to her left.

To tell you the truth even I was shocked to see Deepika as the show stopper at the Mai Mumbai show.There were so many seniors on the ramp apart from Naomi Campbell..

This is the 4th time(!!!) Deepika is the show stopper this season..

"Wills India fashion show" Presented by Fiama Di Wills(so the banners read)..with Deepika as the brand ambassador and releasing a book on the occasion was a great power moment for her..

It does remind one of the movie "Fashion" doesn't it, and the many soaps and pulp fiction we have read where becoming a show stopper is the ultimate accomplishment ..It is power play.. .Kats and Piggy had a fight backstage at Star Screen Awards..both wanted to perform last..

One can expect a bit of jealousy!..😊

Media making up things. Deepika said in her interview that she knew Anushka when they used to model together. Deepz praised Anushka for being so confident and Anushka also said she knew Deepz from the modeling days. They both were comfortable around each other.

I'm sure a little bit of jealousy exists, how can it not?

But I think the media is making up them hating each other part. Anushka and Deepika have been friends since modeling days anyways.

um..I dont see anywhere in the articles where it says Deepika initiated the "cold war"....and Deepika didnt give it to b-town...B-Town gave it to her!

so IF this is true the its the others who are probably jealous..

I recollect seeing a picture where all of them posed together. Does the media think people are fool or what. Even if they didnt speak o each other whats the big deal- Deepika & Asin dont know each other- why the hell do they have to be friends when they dont know each other. There was another article that said Asin & Anushka shared cold vibes, but these say they were ganging up on Deepika, whom to trust?
