Urmila meets Bharat and Mandavi and tell them that she could not find Ram and Sita. Shatrughan and Shrutkirti also come there. Bharat, Shatrughan, Mandavi and Shrutkirti go and meet Ram.
Bharat - Bhaiya, you are crying?
Ram - You all go. Leave me alone.

raj-rani Siya sochti hai, dur jaate hue is nagar se
kaisi snehil madhur bhav-bhini vo vidai babul ke ghar se
maun rah na sake aur sah na sake, pran le ye laanchhit vidai

Laxman - Bhabhi, again I pray to you to change your decision and return. I cannot dare to say anything more to bhaiya. But I request you that for this city, for bhaiya and for all of us, please do not go.
Sita - I cannot compromise with the honour of raghukul, Laxman. Earth and sky may split; sea may dry. But my decision will not change. Therefore, do not try to stop me Laxman.
Ram sees them from his room. He is hurt but does not say anything.
Urmila, Bharat, Mandavi, Shrutkirti come there and try to stop Sita.
Sita - I am fulfilling my duty towards Ayodhya. Future will respect my decision. Come Laxman.
sukh lage saare aankhen churane, jab samay sukh uthaane ka aaya
shant jab ho gaye sab bavandar, tab niyati ne bavandar uthaya
kya kare Ram ji, kya kare Janki, jab niyati ki niyat mein burayi
ye ghadi phir pariksha ki aayee
Sita gets on the chariot.
Laxman - Urmila, I take your leave Urmila. Last time, you waited for me for 14 years. But this time, I do not know how long the wait will be. Until bhabhi comes back, I will also not come back.

Urmila touches Laxman's feet. Laxman gets on the chariot and drives.

Sita - Stop the chariot Laxman. We are very far from the borders of Ayodhya.
Laxman stops. They both get off the chariot.
Sita - Laxman, from here my new life starts and I will be able to fulfill my promise to your bhaiya. You accompanied me up to here. You have made raghul's head high with pride. I will never be able to forget this favour of yours.
Laxman - What are you saying, bhabhi? The honour of raghukul is because of you. You have always been with Ram bhaiya like his shadow. But bhabhi, can Ram bhaiya think of staying in Ayodhya without you?
Sita - There is no meaning of this talk now. Circumstances change many things. Sentiments should not come in the way of my decision. I am about to begin a new journey.
Laxman again requests Sita to return.
Sita - Laxman, always remember that raghuvanshis lay down even their lives for the sake of their words.
Laxman - Bhabhi, then I will also not return to Ayodhya. This is my personal decision. And I am free to take a personal decision.
Sita - Laxman, in raj-dharm, there is no meaning of personal sentiments. Therefore, I, the queen of Ayodhya, order you that you go back.
Laxman - I refuse to obey the orders of the queen of the kingdom where raj-dharm lacks sentiments.
Sita draws a line between Laxman and herself.
Sita - Laxman, in the vanvas, you drew a line and asked me not to cross it. Today I, Vaidehi Sita, have drawn this line taking my mind, words and acts as witnesses. And I request that you should not try to cross it. Troubles befell us when I crossed that line. Trouble may befell us if today you cross this line. Therefore, for the sake of both of us, you should return to Ayodhya.
Laxman - Bhabhi, I cannot even imagine how you will live in the forest alone.
Sita - Laxmna, I am not alone. My swami's memories are with me. They are my strength. Moreover, my swami's ansh is in my garbh. I have a last request to you. Like always, take care of your bhaiya.
Sita walks away from there. Laxman cries.
