Laxman, Satrughna and Bharat all meet together and discuss what happened that ram was compelled not to eat.
So they decide to find him and talk to him. As they come to seek him,ram is seen walking down form the opposite side and the four brothers meet. But even when he sees them, ram does not get back his usual smiling self, rather he avoids them, takes no notice of their regard and goes away to his own room.
Very near to where he is sitting, deeply mortified, Laxman , Bharat and Satrughna discusses there must be something really heavy to draw ram's attension like this. Satrughna exclaims today, even after seeing them, their beloved elder brother did not bless them. Bharat suggests it must be some mistake on their side. Laxman says, they must go together and askf or atonement of their crime from their brother.
Ram overhears their conversation and is shocked to hear what he has done just now.
Laxman exclaims who can be so cruel to cause their brother so much pain. If its one of them, they would rather sacrifice their life to see him at peace. As they race of to meet ram, Sita silently follows them.
They go and meet ram. Sita follows hoping to understand what is it that is causing her beloved husband o much pain. Ram only asks them to relieve him of his royal duties and take the crown . He requests Bharat them to be the king and he will go away with sita and lead his life in exile, like he did before.
But Bharat cries and says death is more desirable than this hopeless situation. Each one of the brothers protest and say how sorry they are.
Ram also breaks down in tears and embraces them. He tells them not to feel guilty.
Standing outside sita starts weeping silently. She knows her assumption is correct. It is she, who is the reason of so much mortification of her beloved lord.
Suddenly ram looks up and catches sita crying. As soon as she meets his eye, sita runs away crying deeply.
