"We have also been hearing rumours about the show going off air .However we did not get any final date or confirmation for the show wrapping up. In fact I know is that it has got an extension of a month. We will soon get to know the channel and the creative team's decision." "We all are obviously sad about it but it is good that good things come to an end at right time. Three years is not a short journey at all. It started off really well. We got highest TRPs for the show. It created a history in just six months after it started. So what more we can ask for? It is ending on a good note and I am happy about it," says Sharad.

From past few months Dulhann has failed to deliver the desired TRPs. As a result the producers of the show brought in various twists like reincarnation of both Vidya and Sagar. Their love story which was USP of the show was once again revived and the show managed to salvage some ratings.

However after their marriage and Sindoora's death, the show saw a tremendous fall in their ratings. It was therefore decided to bring Sindoora's (Kamya Punjabi) character bring back. But sadly this time it did not work. And therefore in a month's time the show will go off air and will be replaced by historical show Jhansi Ki Rani.

Just last week Zee also pulled the plug on their long running show Kasamh Se. It is being replaced by a new show called Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo.
