Dear Mrs. Sonia Gandhi,
On International Women's Day, through the Bombay Times that I have been kindly invited to edit, I take the liberty of addressing five questions to you that are on my mind. I am a great admirer of you and your family, Mrs Gandhi, and look forward to someday having lunch with you over which we may talk about these things and more. On a different note altogether, I'm also curious to know — do you watch films? What kind, if so, and when do you get the time? I'd be humbled if you have seen and liked any of mine! Meanwhile, happy Women's Day, Mrs Gandhi, and all the very best to you...

Five Questions for Mrs. Sonia Gandhi
1. As the premier lady of politics in India, do you have plans to counter vigilantism/eve teasing in our country?
2. What is your view on the legal gender discrimination against women, particularly in our inheritance laws?
3.You are always so elegantly dressed! May I ask where do you get your sarees from?
4. You always appear so calm, composed and graceful. As a woman myself, I'd like to ask you how you manage that — despite open and public provocation in such a taxing and stressful environment like national politics?
5. I love Italian food! Do you like my favourite dish, Spaghetti Pomodoro?
