Who has a better social life - single guys or single girls? |
Sudhir Verma, Scientist Being a single guy myself, I am prejudiced enough to think that single guys have more fun. Girls have to be a little bit more careful than guys, about what they do and where they go. However, I admit that guys are not as social as girls. Amongst my single friends, the girls seem to have a better network and keep in touch with each other more often. "First of all if you want to have fun then nobody can stop you from doing it whether you are a guy or a girl. But girls have their own limitations. For eg., I often go out with my friends for a drive or a walk in the night to Marine Drive in Mumbai or for that matter even a night club.(meanz v shud go there wheneva visit mumbai😉) How many single girls can do that? Girls have their own limitations and generally can't stay away from home late at night. But I think social life doesn't particularly mean having fun or partying. The friends (that can even be office colleagues) you have and the way you enjoy with them are also a part of your social life..."Hussain, Actor Manjari Rai, Software Developer "Well, a modern single girl is most likely to be working or engaged in some vocational course. That increases the probability of meeting new people on a daily basis. Chances are high that she would have befriended her fellow colleagues. More your friends, better your social life bound to be! Besides such inclinations as shopping and catching up with friends to chit chat add to make up a vibrant social life. Bachelor boys on the other hand often do not take the initiative to go around meeting people. They are most likely to be workaholics with erratic work timings." |

If you know your husband visits a dance bar how would you react? |
< name=triple></>Madhu Joshi, Housewife: "I come from a middle class family and things like dance bars are not only taboo but also out of bounds for us. So, firstly my husband would never visit a dance bar and I would definitely not like it if he does so. I also think that these centers should be shut down as they are of no use to the society. A woman should be treated with respect and dignity and such places where a woman is treated badly or looked down upon should certainly not be a part of our society." Juhi Parmar, TV star: "I would never want my husband to visit a dance bar. And if he does than I would definitely object to it. But there are certain bars which are not cheap and are merely a source of entertainment for the men. So it also depends on the kind of a bar it is."agreed! 😃 Pratibha Naithani, Social Activist: "I would never like it because I think dance bars result in exploitation of women because when a man goes to a dance bar his whole approach of interacting and behaving with a woman changes. Also, I think why do such centers exist? If all the dance bars are shut down then where would a man go? Also, when a middle class man goes to a dance bar he spends a valuable part of his earnings on the dancers out there. So, dance bars also create an economic burden on the society. I completely agree with the ban on the dance bars. And as they say that its a source of livelihood for the dancers then I think there are other ways of earning a living as well where a woman gets respect and maintains her dignity."👏 |

Eid Mubarak! |
Festivity is in the air. Eid-ul-Fitr is here and so is the time to celebrate, a time to thank Allah, seek blessings of the elders and of course eat delicious food. We caught up with a few celebs to find out how they celebrate Eid. Hussain Celebrating Eid Eid has a special place in my heart. It's a time to do good deeds and remember the sacrifices made by the Prophets. But it does not mean that you sin for 11 months and ask for forgiveness in 1 month👏. For me Eid is all about spending time with my loved ones. We are a huge family and we have a blast celebrating Eid together. I love to gorge on good food and have fun with my cousins. Earlier I made it a point to fast during the entire month of Ramadan. However, this year due to work pressures I'm not fasting. I also like to receive Eidi😆 from the elders of my house. Even I give Eidi to my nephews. Eid memories I' have many special memories of Eid specially my childhood. Eid has always been memorable. I look forward to it every year, as it's the time to receive blessings from the elders. What else do I need besides that? |
