Hi Everyone

Another successful week with the member of the week. This is another week and I am delighted to annouce the member of the week for this week. Well this week we will roast, bake and fry our very own beloved Maya Aunty

As I know she is Maya Aunty. She lives in Europe. She is a respected member of this IF Family her posts are very thoughtful and are warm. She seems like a lovely person and it is always a pleasure reading her comments and posts.

I have been wanting to ask you these 3 questions for a very long long time. Pata nahin, why I did not ask you in those PMs?

1) Who or what is Maja (your username)?

2) Who is Maya (your signature)?

3) Manjit is a common name among the Sikhs (correct me if I am wrong) – there are Manjit Singh and Manjit Kaur. What is the meaning of Manjit?

You mentioned that you have been in Norway for a very long time. I am sure during this period many things may have changed. Do you like any of these changes?

How often do you go to India? Have you been to India Lately?

Have you visited any of the other scandinavian countries like Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland? If so, out of these which countries did you fancy?

Oh God! Now what is this Samy dear😊, you have put me on the hot seat this week while you yourself are going on holidays. This seat is still quite hot after Simi has been sitting here for a week. Well, I will try to answer all your questions as well as I can.

Real Name: Manjit

Age : My birthday is on 25th July,19😳😳, come on girls, forget about the year this week and just think of me as only maya who is very very young at heart. We can talk about the year next Friday.

Profession: I used to work at The Radium(cancer) Hospital as Medical transcriptionist/secretary but I had to quit my job five years ago because of my health-conditions and now I am a housewife and sometimes do transcription work at home on part time basis.

How did I get started with India Forums: I was a member of yahoo groups as I used to read updates of Astitva and Mansha there. When Mansha ended and TD started I wanted to read updates of TD and there I came to know of India-Forums. At that time Lata and Disha 77 used to write such nice and fabulous updates pluss it was the time when Ashish was supposed to visit this forum on his birthday and lots of excitement and masti was going on. Everything was so fantastic and full of fun that I got tempted and couldnt resist so I joined the forum.

Why am I hooked to TD: DK/Ashish and Disha have made a very special place in my heart and I have to have my daily dose of seeing them and they are the only reason that I am still hooked to TD.

My Hobbies, more about me: I love music, especially old soft romantic(duets) songs from 60s. I also like to sing and love to dance, especially on fast music like fast hindi numbers and punjabi bhangra songs. I like to watch serials and musical programmes like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. I spend lots of time on surfing on internet and love to read about general health magazines.

What I like best @ IF: Thanks to our moderators and IF-team it is a very well maintained, neat and clean forum. All the members are very warm and loving and the best thing is that they respect each other a lot and always stays within the limits of decency.

What I would like to see more @IF: All the members both old and new visits the forum more often and have healthy discussions and have fun operations more often and instead of only chatting with each other they write more on the forum so that everyone can enjoy.

Now, all the cute😊, lovely girls and our few precious 😊 male members of the forum, you all are welcome👏 to ask me anything you want and please dont hesitate and just feel free to ask whatever you want.

Aw thats very sweet maya aunty... who says anything about age.. In fact they should remove that question.. everyone on this 4rum is young at heart and we love to have you amongst us.. 👏 for the moment we have posted some Qs but we will come back especially me .. I have one more day.. so I am just busy sharpening my claws 😆

Hello Silk 😊 and thanks. It is really sweet of you to give me such nice compliment.

I have been wanting to ask you these 3 questions for a very long long time. Pata nahin, why I did not ask you in those PMs?

1) Who or what is Maja (your username)?

Silk, Maja is result of a blunder(typing mistake) done by me. Maya name is written as Maja in Norvegian language as the letter "J" has "Y" sound in Norvegian. I wanted to use name Maya as my username and while typing just by habit I typed it in Norvegian and didnt think that I am writing English so now I am having this unusual username Maja instead of Maya.

2) Who is Maya (your signature)?

Maya is my best friends daughters name and I like this name a lot.

3) Manjit is a common name among the Sikhs (correct me if I am wrong) – there are Manjit Singh and Manjit Kaur. What is the meaning of Manjit?

Yes, you are quite right Silk, Manjit is a common name amoung Sikhs and like many other names used both for men and women.
Since my childhood I was told that Manjit is a heart-winner atleast it literally means that. Now if I can win others heart so easlily I am not very sure about that.

I will be back with more questions.

Thanks Coolbuddy😊. I cant say how important I am to this forum but you all are very dear and important😳 to me and I love you all.

I have been to many countries in Europe and my favourites are Barcelona and Luxembourg.

2. The places you would love to visit in future

Prague and America are the places where I have never been and I wish to go there some day. In India I would love to go to Bombay and Goa.

I used to be so crazy about hindi movies in my childhood and youth and always dreamed about going to Bombay and then about four years ago I had a chance to visit Bombay but unfortunately at that time it was monsoon there and it was so dirty everywhere that all my dreams of seeing Bombay were badly shattered. I would love to go there once again when weather is different. May be this time I can find that paradise which I always thought that Bombay was.

3. Any other shows you follow other than TD

Yes many Laila, Zee is the only Indian channel we get here but my favourite ones are Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and ofcourse TD. I have this very bad habit of having TV on although I dont follow the programmes but just to feel linked to the indian atmosphere I put on the TV. Some times I watch Saat Phere and Reth but not regularly.
