No cash prize for Dancing Queen?

Dancing Queen has been courting news for all the wrong reasons. Warring partners, rigging accusations, unfair judging and now it's rumoured that the prize money of Rs.25 lakhs has been scrapped.

To know if this was true we called a few contestants. One of them claimed complete ignorance while the other confessed to hearing such tales but added that she hadn't received any official word on this.

When contacted, Kamna of SOL productions said, "Why don't you ask the channel? After all, it is they who will be giving the money."

Colors spokesperson has rubbished the news.

Cash prize or no cash prize but one thing is certain. Esha Deol, Ekta and Tushar Kapoor will be gracing the finale of Dancing Queen. That's not all Esha will be performing with her mother (Hema Malini) while Tushar will match steps with his father (Jeetendra). Hema Malini and Jeetendra are the judges of the show.
