Who is Shanta's mother?

Hello Frnds,

I had learnt that Shanta is the daughter of King Dasartha and was given for adaption to Romanapada. Later she got married to Sage Rishyashringa. As both the couple had come to Ayodhya to accomplish the vedic ritual by Dasharatha. I had read up to this in Ramayan.

But I don't know who is the mother of Shanta. If any one know about it, plzzzzzzzz tell me.

Queen Kaushalya was Shanta's mother. I am not sure if Shanta too had come to Ayodhya when the sage Rishyashringa came to perform the Putra Kameshti Yaga.

hmm In Ravan serial also they showed Kaushalya Mata as the mother

but from one preacher on Astha channel once I heard

Sumitra Mata was the mother of Shanta..

ans sumitra mata since start was very sacrifing nature ... continuing that she sent laxmanji with ramji ...

always taught her two kids to serve elder bros

thats y Laxmanji served Ramji and shaturghan to Bharat

Mata Kaushalya was Shanta's mother.

Thanks for replying. Frnds! I had read in Valmiki Ramayan that Shanta had also gone to Ayodhya with her husband to make vedic ritual performed successfully by King Dasharath
