The bubbly actress who was earlier seen in Mamta will essay the lead role in up coming venture of Star One and Sagar Arts...

Neha Mehta who has been out of the limelight ever since her Mamta days will be making her comeback as the lead in the epic saga Shakuntala on Star One.

"I play the lead role of Shakuntala, a woman who is very strong but at the same time very emotional too. Sagar Pictures have worked hard for this saga," quips Neha Mehta.

The love story of Shakuntala and Dushyanta will be shown in a very emotional manner. On the preparations she undertook for her look, the actress states, "I read the novel and tried to understand everything on the role, especially the era in which this love story happened. I have done lot of research too on the net. Basically, it's a costume drama, so I need to take extra care about my body language".

A new face Gautam Sharma plays Dushyanta in the show. "He is a very sweet guy and working with him has been very easy and nice", states the actress.

The show will be launched on 2nd February at the 9.30 PM slot, Monday-Thursday on Star One.
