Phagphera is a rasam that is done the next day after the wedding of the daughter has taken place. It is basically a rasam where the daughter goes back to her parents house as married women. She is usually supposed to go back with her husband. The parents will bless her wishing that may she always remain a married women and give her gifts.
In some cultures the daughter stays for a few days but I am from Punjab and in Punjabi's the daughter returns to her in-laws in the evening with her hubby😃
