Famous Hollywood rapper PQ, who makes his debut as an independent producer with Rocking Meera, has offered Sonu Sood the role of an Indian prince in the film. Talking about the film Sonu says, "Rocking Meera has a love triangle. I begin shooting for the film in March next year in Bikaner." Nandana Sen will play the female lead while rapper PQ forms the other part of the love triangle. "This is my first international venture and I am looking forward to begin shooting for it," he says. From a miniscule role in Mani Ratnam's Yuva to a parallel lead along with Emraan Hashmi in Aaditya Dutta's Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Sonu has come a long way. "Yuva had me play a dark character while in Aashiq Banaya Aapne I played the romantic lead. It is this versatility that draws me to these characters," Sood says. The actor says that the response to Aashiq… has been positive. "There was an overwhelming response from the people of the film fraternity. In fact, the film explored a totally different side of my personality. I am grateful to Aaditya Dutta for offering me this role. What's more, for the first time I did a film that had songs featuring me and that was something that I just could not resist doing." Sonu Sood is now looking forward to working with directors like Manish Jha and Sujat Saudagar. "In Manish Jha's film I play an urban youth who gets lured into the world of crime." |
