@Suganthi and @Kanta: I agree with both - I really think that your suggestion that soaps should only last two years also, because you run out of ideas. After all how many amnesias, plastic surgeries, extra-marital affairs, challenges between in-laws who don't get along, and one-shot pregnancies can you see in a soap?

@Clare: Shweta, the example you gave me is chilling and scary. But how many such things happen in real life. It might be a one in a million example. We don't want complete authenticity and realism in soaps because that gets boring, but we don't want to see bizarre cases that happen infrequently either. Pia of the first few months is very different than Pia of the ONS and after...
