Chances are you may laugh out at the title. But Grrr – Priyadarshan's next venture – is anything but funny.
The director, known for his comedy films, will now switch lanes to direct this horror flick. What's more, Percept Picture Company has even started a new division called PPC Horrortainment to produce this movie.
Priyan confirmed the news and told us that the man-eaters in the Sunderbans have inspired this tale.
"I am also inspired by Jim Corbett," he says adding that the movie will star newcomers.
Funnily, even though the inspiration for this film is essentially Indian, Grrr will be shot in foreign locations and will have no tiger in its cast.
"There will be a lot of special effects," the director says and insists that the movie will not have any songs because 'my script doesn't demand it.'
Priyadarshan insists that children are a very active audience when it comes to horror flicks and is confident that they'd be able to enjoy Grrr.
The film comes at a time when the once-majestic beast is fight for survival in the Sunderbans.
