I agree with u girls- sukhs and mru

I am so glad that Santo is 18...and at a legal age to wed...make things much better 😆 for me as a viewer. I mean things would have been difficult otherwise. even i m against child marriages, who isn't?
anyways...i liked the sbs one better too...aaj tak is doing faltoo naatak. I mean they just try to dramatize it...and when the actor gets irritated they get upset.

Grrr... aaj tak is one channel i never put on.. They blow things way outta proportion...
Sukhi Sammie, i would have loved it if the marriage in BV would've been stopped, and if those people would've been put behind bars.. The concept of marriage is so scary for people who are 20-25 itself, how torturous must it be for those kids...

I used to love watching BV, but have stopped watching it for the last few weeks.
What I find really disturbing is that the producers are intentionally or unintentioanlly trying to promote a sort of budding romance between the two kids, Anandi and Jagdish. And this is simply creepy, to say the least! They are barely in their teens!
Going by what they had originally planned, Jagdish was to have died by this time and the story would have focused on the life of Anandi and her struggle against the system as a child widow.
But taking advantage of the immense popularity enjoyed by the two children, the channel and producers have started out parallel tracks and simultaneously show the growing bond between Jagdish and Anandi. Nothing wrong with that, except that they are flagarating the basic premise of the story...that of the evils of Child marriage. If they show Anandi to be happy and falling in love with her husband later on, wouldn't it send the wrong message to the audience, emphasizing the fact that such a marriage has not only legal and social sanction, but emotional too?
Its good that Santu in the story is 18 years old and hence the legal age for marriage in India...what Ekta and Balaji can do is focus on the caste division and then show DM overcoming all that...it would be something progressive, in my view.

Now thats just creepy.. I mean they're kids for crying out loud... I have seen just one episode of that show, and it completely disgusted me.. atleast the parents of the actors should say something...

I think that she will show that.. overcoming the caste difference and all..

Exactly Soapie ..

That is exactly my grudge against the show .. I love avika and Avinash - the kids acting in the show but I think instead of showing a progressive mindset of the society where people come and get together to prevent the marriage from going ahead- what they have gone ahead and shown is totally RIDICULOUS!

Even Gehna- the girl married to her father's age in the show is not legally old enough to marry !!

A big BOO to BV!
