Actor Akshay Kumar seems to be winning accolades from every quarter this year, what with a New York-based publication actually declaring the hunk "Star of the Year" because of his seven consecutive hits in 2005. He started the year with Khakee and is ending it with Garam Masala. The notion is that besides being a producer's actor and the only all-rounder, Akshay's popularity continues to grow without the support of any big banners.
