Why did Ashutosh...

ok. So I was on Team Ashutosh until I watched the awards. My point is not to say that Sajid was right on anything like that, but I think Ashutosh was just in a bad mood all night, he looked very upest. After watching the awards, I think his little speech was not needed. It was a case of sour-grapes.

WHY did Ashutosh Gowarikar feel the need to talk about Rock On before the speech began? Did he think he would win all the awards since his movie was so successful?😕

and Sajid made fun of everyone.. they did make fun of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and himself too. Everyone else laughed at the jokes.

Oh and I don't think it was staged. Because if it was, then I don't think there would have been a need to bring up Rock On winning all awards and "it being a bad night for them"

^I actually agree with you here. Ashutosh was not completely in the right. He did seem in a bad mood like you said. The Rock On comment was in bad taste. I felt really bad for Farhan when he said that. There was no need to go there. He should have kept the comments in relation to the hosts. Jodha Akbar did get plenty of awards that night as well.

As a sidenote, my favorite part of the awards was seeing Prateik Babbar accept the award for Best Music. Swooon. And another part I really liked was Asin's speech for Best Debutante. Hope she sticks around. I think she has a bright future ahead of herself.

I know, poor Faru. I didn't understand it at all, he even looked so confused as to why he was mentioning Rock On.. Everyone seemed so happy and I felt like Ashu just ruined that for them.

I don't remember his name, but the guy who directed A Wednesday.. he was so cute. That was my favorite part.. he just kept saying thank you. 😆😆😆

Asin's speech was the best; it was nice to see her win. She deserved it although I felt bad for Prachi. Prachi did well though, I like how she was still very happy for the Rock On team.

Neeraj Pandey, yeah I agree with you on that score. His sheepishness grew on me. I was meaning to see the film earlier, but now that I find him kind of cute in a dorky sort of way, I am more likely to see the film. Ha!

I agree with first 2 parts. I saw some part of the show on youtube and that's what i said, ashutosh and rest of the audience were laughing. But someone questioned me which award ceremony i was watching 😆 😕

I haven't watched the awards yet. In usa, awards will be telecasted up coming sunday. What did Ashu said about Farhan? was it really mean?

@Sheena: I definitely agree with you. I saw him laughing three times.. it was all stupid and he didn't need to say shut up.

@Zareena: He didn't say anything about Farhan. He was accepting the award for Best Film, I think.. and he said something along the lines of thank god, its been a bad night.. and then of course the camera went on my Faru. He looked really confused. Then Mr. G started talking about how he saw Rock On and what a great film it is. ❓

Did anyone notice Jaya ji giving away Best Actor(female) award? They were all very sure that Aish was going to win, I felt so bad for her when she said, "oh, I thought.." But then she gave it to Priyanka.

^Oh ok. I watched the best actress part on youtube. I knew Ash going to win it. But Priyanka won, i don't think Jaya said that in bad taste. Funny thing Camera was going on Akshay whenever Priyanka performed or gave her speech😆

^LOL. Yeah, she did a good job of covering it up and smiling widely almost grinning for Priyanka. And they did hug pretty warmly. I think she does genuinely like her. But I was laughing alot when the Bips and Aish presented the Best Jodi award to John and Abhishek. And Sajid's overt flirting, calling Bips behenji, and the comment about going down. Well, it wasn't quite a family appropriate show, was it?

I don't think Jaya said it in bad taste at all, but she was just surprised. They asked Amar Singh and Jaya Bachchan to give away the Best Actress award, who thought Priyanka would win it? I, for sure, didn't.

Oh, that was the funniest thing! I actually enjoyed the awards too. John was so funny on stage, the expression on Bips' face when he called her a behenji.. 🤣🤣 Too good! The going down comment.. 😆😆 But yeah, not a family appropriate show at all.

Jaya gave a very warm hug to Priyanka, same how Jaya give a warm hug to preity zinta during KHNH days.
