enthral the audience as she sets the dance floor on fire in Dancing Queen.

The actor was in the town for Uttarayan and we caught her over the chat.

So how's it like celebrating Uttarayan in Ahmedabad and she tells us, "Oh I love this city and as I'm half Gujarati, (my mom was Gujarati) I always enjoy gorging undhiyu. Flying kites was fun as well."

Ask her about her experience on the show and she avers, "This is my first reality show and I'm enjoying it as I love dancing." She adds, "Even though I'm not a trained dancer, I'm learning to don the hat of a mentor. I and Lisa (her partner in the show) along with the choreographers work as a team." And how does she find the judges of the show? "We are lucky to have them. We respect both Jeetuji and Hemaji as actors and Hemaji is an amazing danseuse. I have jitters every time I perform before them," she gushes. Dipsshikha, who was looking elegant in a black top and denims is very straight forward when it comes to her talking. About other projects that she is working on, she tells us, "I'm back into my cameo in Baa Bahoo Aur Baby as there was a need for re-entry. Otherwise Dancing Queen is keeping me quite busy. I'm getting movie offers, but I've no time for them in my schedule. So my routine is sleeping, eating, dancing and acting these days!"

And why is she not doing much television serials these days? "There is lack of good concepts in serials. Social dramas and kitchen politics are not my cup of tea. I tried Dahhej just for an experience but that's it. For me playing different characters is important. Like in Kittie Party where I played Kuku's character, my friends felt that Kuku is Dipsshika! And that's how the character is so close to my heart," says the actor. Dipsshikha is turning a producer soon. "I'm planning to produce a serial which is based on patriotism. Can't share much as it is too early to talk about it," she says.

Dipsshikha has done a Gujarati serial Naari Tu Na Haari. As an actor who was an integral part of the industry, what does she think the sorry state of Gujarati films and serials? She explains, "Within the Gujarati film and television industry, nobody wants to experiment."

As a person, Dipsshikha keeps on exploring herself. "I'm an actor, I directed a documentary film, I paint, I am learning to sing, and learning more and more," she says.

Dipsshikha is very close to her kids — Vidhika, her eight year old daughter and Vivaan, four year old son. "I always feel my kids are so understanding, they never make my life difficult. They're quite supportive. I sometimes feel my kids are like parents to me. I love cooking for them on weekends when we go to our farmhouse. I give quality time to them and they know mumma keeps busy but they never complain. It must have been my good karma to have such sweet kids!" On this note, she signs off.
