Mani Ratnam's Ravana begins final shooting schedule

MUMBAI: Director Mani Ratnam is in Jhansi for the third and final schedule of his film, tentatively titled Ravana.

The director reached the new location on Sunday alongwith the lead pair of his film, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Initially Bhopal was chosen as the location, but now Ratnam has zeroed in on an undisclosed shooting spot, some distance from Jhansi.

The approximately 20 day shooting schedule will complete the shooting portion of the film, which began in September. The movie has got delayed due to Amitabh Bachchan's illness last year.

The film has been shot in Kerala and Chennai and is now expected to release sometime in April.

It's a Mani Ratnam movie and no it's probably not going to be a flop. It's not a period film, and Ranbir Kapoor is in, or at least that is what I heard! Apparently, Ash sings classical songs for the movie and she took lessons to prepare for the role!
